Dismissal of Ms. Luong Thi Cam Tu, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Eximbank

Vietnam Export Import Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Eximbank - Stock code: EIB) has just issued a resolution on dismissing Ms. Luong Thi Cam Tu from the position of Chairwoman of the Board of Directors from June 28, 2023.

Ms. Luong Thi Cam Tu, born in 1980, joined Eximbank in 2018. In February 2022, with the support of the Board of Directors for the 2020-2025 term, Ms. Tu officially took the position of Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of this bank. Ms. Tu has made certain contributions during her time with the bank.

Currently, in the context of double difficulties, when the banking industry is facing many challenges and Eximbank itself is under pressure from new goals, it poses a problem for the bank's leadership team to change to a new mindset, new management style, new management methods, to focus on restructuring the entire system based on safety and transparency.

Aiming for the biggest goal of returning to the TOP 10 leading commercial banks in Vietnam, Eximbank's Board of Directors is still carrying out transparent reform activities. At the same time, selecting leaders will create a "new breeze" for the bank.

Eximbank's Board of Directors believes that leadership is one of the important factors in promoting business success and increasing the bank's position in the market, so it is necessary to choose the right person, at the right time and in the right position. "Eximbank aims to select senior personnel who meet the standards and conditions, and more importantly, have enough virtue, heart and talent, in line with the bank's strategy, goals and orientation in each period." - Eximbank's leaders affirmed.

Ms. Luong Thi Cam Tu's successor as Chairwoman of Eximbank's Board of Directors from June 28, 2023 is Ms. Do Ha Phuong. Ms. Do Ha Phuong was born in 1984 and has more than 15 years of experience in the field of finance and banking. She graduated with a BA in Accounting from George Mason University - USA, and a MA in International Finance from Westminster University - UK.

Ms. Phuong joined Eximbank in 2022 as a member of the Board of Directors for the 7th term (2020-2025).

From 2018 to 2023, Ms. Phuong was the co-founder and CEO of VNInvest Partners LLC. Previously, the new Chairman of Eximbank was in charge of credit and risk management operations at Vietnam International Commercial Joint Stock Bank (VIB ); financial advisor at Lotus Finance LLC; and audit, tax, and financial consulting operations at Ernst & Young USA and Vietnam.
