Mr. Ho Sy Hung was elected Chairman of VCCI.

On the afternoon of November 3, with 100% of votes in favor, the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) elected Mr. Ho Sy Hung, Secretary of the VCCI Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term, to hold the position of VCCI President for the 2021-2026 term.

Previously, the Secretariat appointed Mr. Ho Sy Hung to hold the position of Secretary of the VCCI Party Committee and introduced him to be elected as the President of VCCI.

Also at the 11th VCCI Executive Committee Meeting, term VII, which took place on the afternoon of November 3, the VCCI Executive Committee also agreed to let Mr. Pham Tan Cong resign from the position of Chairman of VCCI, and from participating in the Executive Committee and Standing Committee of VCCI, term VII.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Ho Sy Hung expressed his respect and deep gratitude to the Central Party Secretariat, generations of VCCI leaders and the VCCI Executive Board for their trust and responsibility.

Mr. Hung affirmed that with his knowledge and experience in more than 30 years of work, he will constantly strive to strongly innovate thinking and actions; be close to and listen to opinions and aspirations of officials and businesses; and be dedicated to the sustainable development of the Vietnamese business community.

According to Mr. Hung, VCCI shouldered the mission of building a team of businesses and entrepreneurs with aspirations and national spirit, and enough courage and intelligence to build a strong and prosperous country.

To fulfill this mission, VCCI must place itself in a new context, focusing on key areas such as green economy , digital economy, circular economy, and innovation-based manufacturing and processing industry.

Mr. Hung also said that VCCI and the business community must closely coordinate with management agencies, pioneer in opening new fields, and explore potential markets. This is also the process of removing difficulties, removing obstacles, and supporting businesses to grow and be competitive both domestically and internationally.

Mr. Ho Sy Hung, born in 1968, has a PhD in economics, management and planning, and was awarded the title of associate professor in 2012.

Before becoming Chairman of VCCI, Mr. Hung held the following positions: Vice Chairman of the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises, Deputy Minister of Finance .
