Mr. Ho Sy Hung was elected Chairman of the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry.

On the afternoon of November 3, at the headquarters of the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), the 11th VCCI Executive Committee Meeting - term VII took place. The event was related to the work of perfecting personnel, introducing and electing Executive Committee members, President of VCCI term VII, term 2021-2026. Pursuant to the provisions of the VCCI Charter, to perfect the position of President of VCCI, the Executive Committee voted and unanimously elected Mr. Ho Sy Hung to hold the position of President of VCCI for the term 2021-2026, replacing Mr. Pham Tan Cong.

At the event, Mr. Ho Sy Hung, the new Chairman of VCCI, expressed his respect and gratitude to the leaders, former leaders and the Executive Board of VCCI through the periods; including Mr. Pham Tan Cong personally in the position of Party Secretary and Chairman; with his enthusiasm, intelligence and sense of responsibility, he has strived, together with the Party Committee, staff and workers of VCCI, to make an important contribution to the development of the business community, building the stature, position and prestige of VCCI today.

In his new position entrusted by the Secretariat, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front of Central organizations and the Executive Committee of VCCI, Mr. Ho Sy Hung emphasized the sense of responsibility and exemplary role of a leader; at the same time, inheriting and promoting the achievements and valuable experiences of previous generations of leaders; at the same time, committing with his knowledge and experience in more than 30 years of working in many different positions to constantly strive to learn, improve working capacity, strongly innovate thinking and actions, responsibility, thrift, integrity, impartiality, impartiality; be close, listen, and accept the opinions and aspirations of cadres and businesses; be dedicated and devoted in working for the sustainable development of the Vietnamese business community and VCCI in the new era.

To successfully complete the mission of VCCI as a mass organization at the Central level established and assigned by the Party and the State, as a national organization representing the business community, businessmen, employers and business associations in Vietnam, Mr. Ho Sy Hung continues to work with VCCI to shoulder the mission of building a team of businesses and businessmen with aspirations and national spirit, with enough capacity, courage and intelligence to build a strong and prosperous country for the happiness of the people; support the development of a highly competitive business force based on innovation and application of science and technology, firmly integrating into the world, participating deeply in the global value chain.

In the new trend of the domestic and international business environment, under the direction of the Party and the State, VCCI strives to promote the business community to grow rapidly and sustainably based on innovation and application, mastering science and technology, improving production and business efficiency on the basis of focusing on new, key, strategic industries and fields that create high added value such as: green economy , digital economy, circular economy, science and technology agriculture, trade and services, manufacturing and processing industry based on innovation along with constantly improving the quality of socialist-oriented market economic institutions.

VCCI and the business community coordinate, cooperate, and closely connect with management agencies at all levels, contributing to the process of innovating management mechanisms, pioneering in new, key areas, and opening up new markets with great potential. This is also the process of removing difficulties and obstacles for businesses, the process of supporting and backing businesses to grow and be competitive both at home and in the region and internationally. The development of the country under the direction and guidance of the Party and the State is also the development of the business community and the Vietnamese business community.

Accordingly, the goal of rapid growth, reaching double digits is also the goal that each enterprise strives for in the new era. In addition, building a truly united, clean, strong, civilized VCCI agency, creating strong motivation and arousing the spirit of dedication and creativity of the staff and workers, improving the performance and efficiency of operations for the sustainable development of VCCI agency is also a key task in the coming time.

Mr. Ho Sy Hung graduated from the National Economics University in 1988 and received his PhD in Economics, Management and Economic Planning in 1996. In 2012, Mr. Ho Sy Hung was awarded the title of Associate Professor. Over the years, Mr. Ho Sy Hung has held leadership positions at the Department of Enterprise Development under the Ministry of Planning and Investment (formerly); the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises (CMSC) and most recently, Deputy Minister of Finance.

Since October 2025, the Secretariat, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, and the Central organizations have appointed Mr. Ho Sy Hung to join the Party Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and hold the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry, term 2025 - 2030; at the same time, introduced and elected him to hold the position of President of the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry, term VII, term 2021 - 2026.
