The Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee said that the city is where he spent the first years of his career as a police officer in the capital.

The Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee said he is deeply aware of the special important position and role of the capital Hanoi - the heart of the whole country, where the national quintessence converges and spreads; where history, culture and the present blend; where all the country's aspirations are directed towards.

Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc expressed that he will fully understand and thoroughly grasp the General Secretary's directives and assignment of tasks at today's decision-making ceremony. Along with the General Secretary's opinions during his four working sessions with the Hanoi Party Committee, especially his directive speech at the 18th City Party Congress, with two strategic questions and seven requirements and tasks stated.

"I promise to do my best, be dedicated, impartial, objective, not afraid of difficulties, not avoid, wholeheartedly, with the collective of the City Party Committee, government and people of the capital to successfully carry out all tasks assigned by the Party and State," said Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc.

The new Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee said that he will build appropriate mechanisms and policies for Hanoi to develop sustainably, take the lead in science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation; promote knowledge economy, green economy, circular economy.
