Ministry of Education and Training announced the 2026 university and college enrollment plan

The Ministry of Education and Training has just issued Decision No. 3037/QD-BGDDT promulgating the Plan for implementing university and college enrollment in 2026 with many important contents.

Specifically, the Ministry of Education and Training requires training institutions to develop enrollment plans and promptly announce enrollment information so that students have a plan to study and review for the 2026 High School Graduation Exam; comply with the regulations of the enrollment regulations, current legal regulations and this plan; and fulfill the responsibility to explain to the ministry, competent authorities and society about all enrollment work of the training institution.

The general plan is expected to be developed by the Ministry of Education and Training as follows:

Training institutions must complete the publication of enrollment information on the training institution's website by February 15, 2026.

The Departments of Education and Training established a Steering Committee for enrollment support on May 25, 2026.

The Ministry of Education and Training will test and train the common enrollment support system software on May 15, 2026.

The review of high school study results on the system must be completed by candidates and the Department of Education and Training before 5:00 p.m. on June 6, 2026.

Candidates practice registering and adjusting admission wishes on the system from June 17 to June 21.

Candidates provide and the receiving point reviews foreign language certificates, SAT; update preliminary results, results of independent and supplementary exams, capacity assessment, thinking assessment (if any), to be completed by 5:00 p.m. on June 20, 2026.

Training institutions and the Department of Education and Training support candidates to register for the first round of admission online, from the date candidates register for the exam until August 30, 2026.

For candidates, the time frames you need to note are as follows:

From May 1 to May 20, 2026, the Department of Education and Training will provide additional accounts to candidates (who have graduated from high school or college) who do not have an account to register for admission on the system.

From July 2 to 5:00 p.m. on July 14, 2026, candidates can register and adjust their admission wishes an unlimited number of times within the prescribed time.

On July 8, 2026, the Ministry of Education and Training announced the threshold to ensure input quality for teacher training, health and law fields.

At 5:00 p.m. on July 10, 2026, educational institutions will adjust and announce the scores for receiving application documents and equivalent converted admission scores on the system and website.

Candidates pay admission fees online from July 15 to 5:00 p.m. on July 21, 2026.

Before 5:00 p.m. on August 13, 2026, candidates will be notified of their admission in the first round and will confirm their admission online in the first round on the system before 5:00 p.m. on August 21, 2026.

The Ministry of Education and Training requests relevant parties to closely coordinate according to this Plan to ensure consistency, synchronization, improve the quality and effectiveness of enrollment of each training institution and of the entire system.
