Mr. Ho Sy Hung is Chairman of VCCI

(Dan Tri) - Mr. Ho Sy Hung, Party Secretary for the 2025-2030 term, was elected to hold the position of Chairman of VCCI for the 2021-2026 term.

On the afternoon of November 3, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) held the 11th VCCI Executive Committee Meeting, term VII, 2021-2026, to complete the position of VCCI President for the 2021-2026 term.

At the Conference, the Executive Board approved the results of the work of perfecting the leadership personnel of VCCI for the 7th term, 2021-2026. Specifically, the Executive Board agreed to let Mr. Pham Tan Cong resign from the position of Chairman of VCCI, and from the Executive Board and Standing Committee for the 7th term, 2021-2026.

At the same time, Mr. Ho Sy Hung - Secretary of the VCCI Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term - was elected to join the Executive Committee and hold the position of Chairman of the VCCI for the 7th term, 2021-2026 term.

In his speech accepting the assignment, Mr. Ho Sy Hung said that VCCI is a central mass organization established and assigned by the Party and State, a national organization representing the business community, entrepreneurs, employers and business associations in Vietnam.

The Federation continues to shoulder the main mission of building a team of businesses and entrepreneurs with aspirations and national spirit, with enough capacity, courage and intelligence to build a strong and prosperous country for the happiness of the people.

The goal of the Federation is to support the development of a highly competitive business force based on innovation and application of science and technology, firmly integrating into the world, and participating deeply in the global value chain.

Mr. Hung emphasized that VCCI and the business community must coordinate, cooperate, and connect closely with management agencies at all levels, contributing to the process of innovating management mechanisms, pioneering in new, key fields, and opening up new markets with great potential.

He believes that this is also the process of removing difficulties and obstacles for businesses, the process of supporting and backing businesses to grow and be competitive both domestically, regionally and internationally.

Mr. Ho Sy Hung was born in 1968 in Nghe An. He graduated from the National Economics University in 1988 and received his PhD in Economics, Management and Economic Planning in 1996. In 2012, Mr. Ho Sy Hung was awarded the title of Associate Professor.

Mr. Ho Sy Hung has nearly 20 years of experience working at the Ministry of Planning and Investment. Since September 2018, Mr. Hung has been appointed by the Prime Minister as Vice Chairman of the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises.

Since March this year, Mr. Ho Sy Hung was appointed by the Prime Minister as Deputy Minister of Finance. In October, Mr. Hung was given a decision by the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and Central organizations to become Secretary of the VCCI Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term and introduced to be elected as Chairman of the VCCI for the 7th term, 2021-2026 term.
