Since the milestone of July 25, 1948, the founding day of the Vietnam Literature and Arts Association, up to now, the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations has gone through 77 years of construction, development, and increasingly growing organization and staff.
In particular, after 1968, the Ha Tinh Literature and Arts Association was established, initially consisting of only a few majors, but has now developed into 6 majors. Gathering nearly 300 members, the artists have made many important contributions to the literature and arts of the province and the whole country.
In recent times, Ha Tinh's literature and arts have developed in both breadth and depth. The artists' team is increasingly younger, many quality works have been created, winning high awards both regionally and centrally, actively contributing to the development of the province. These results are thanks to many policies and guidelines of the province for the field of literature and arts. In particular, Resolution No. 18-NQ/TU dated December 22, 2023 of the Provincial Party Committee on "Building and developing Ha Tinh culture and people in the new period" has created more motivation to beautify the "cultural field" of the homeland.
Dr. Nguyen Tung Linh - Vice President of the Ha Tinh Literature and Arts Association said: "Resolution 18-NQ/TU of the Provincial Party Committee, Plan No. 320/KH-UBND dated July 10, 2024 of the Provincial People's Committee are the basis for the association to develop a draft project "Developing literature and arts associated with the culture and people of Ha Tinh to 2030, with a vision to 2045". It is expected that the project will be submitted to the Provincial People's Committee for approval in the near future. In particular, many strategic solutions are proposed, promising to create a breakthrough in creative thinking and the quality of artistic works".
Besides the "veteran" authors such as: Duc Ban (prose); Manh Chien, Ngoc Thinh, Quoc Viet ( music ); Ha Quang (criticism); Le Anh Thi, Dau Binh, Nguyen Thanh Hai (photography)..., many young authors are increasingly emerging with their own strengths, winning many awards, typically: Tran Quynh Nga, Tran Hai Van, Tran Thi Tu Ngoc, Phan Linh Chau (prose); Ho Minh Thong, Le Thi Xuan (poetry)...
Young writer Tran Anh Duc, who started out as an officer of the Office of the Ha Tinh Literature and Arts Association, has become a promising author in the fields of photography and prose after only 3 years of writing. He has won several awards for writing at the central and provincial levels, such as the Encouragement Prize for "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style" in the second phase, 2023-2025...
Tran Anh Duc shared: “Resolution 18/NQ-TU has created a vibrant cultural and artistic environment. Thanks to participating in exchange programs and creative camps, I have been supported and nurtured with more skills and the right orientation in creativity... Thanks to that, I always try to stick to real life to create works that reflect the breath of the times, serve the people and thereby contribute to the development of Ha Tinh culture and people”.
Author Le Thi Xuan (teacher at Nguyen Van Troi High School) has not been admitted to the association for long but has had many works for children, poems, stories, prose... published in many newspapers and magazines of the Central and provinces and cities across the country. She has published 2 books, 1 story collection and 1 poetry collection for children. Notably, her poetry collection "Nest of all species" published in 2022 was selected to the final round of the Campaign for Writing for Children in the period 2021-2023 organized by the Vietnam Writers Association.
Ms. Xuan expressed: "The open creative environment and encouragement from the association have inspired me and made me write more confidently."
Besides literature, the new creative environment has helped artists in fields such as photography, music, fine arts, etc. have more "room" to produce many quality works.
Photographer Dau Ha (Nghi Xuan Regional Cultural and Communication Center), who has won many photography awards, shared: “After implementing a two-level local government and abolishing the district level, many landscapes and cultural features of the new villages and communes… have become more evident, inspiring artists. I personally feel excited and inspired when discovering new things in my work, from this new space.”
In just 7 months of 2025, the Ha Tinh Literature and Arts Association has organized many effective professional activities. In particular, summarizing 10 years of implementing Directive No. 05-CT/TW, dated June 15, 2016 of the 13th Politburo on "Promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle", 10 authors who are cadres and members of the Ha Tinh Literature and Arts Association have won provincial and central awards for their works on the theme of studying and following Uncle Ho. Implementing the Provincial Party Committee's plan to organize activities to summarize 50 years of Vietnamese literature and arts after unification, the association has coordinated to organize the Poetry Award in Hong Linh Magazine, a seminar and exhibition on 50 years of literature and arts after unification, and published the book "Vo Hong Huy Culture"... In the past, the association has also regularly coordinated to organize many creative camps, exchanges on professional skills with literature and arts associations in other provinces... Thereby, helping to foster professional skills, knowledge, and skills to help members learn and improve their creative abilities...
All these movements have affirmed the role of the Ha Tinh Literature and Arts Association in accompanying, connecting, and supporting the artists, while demonstrating the vision of leaders at all levels in opening up creative space. The road ahead is still full of challenges, but with a large team of artists who are constantly exploring, innovating and contributing, Ha Tinh Literature and Arts promises to create a new face full of brightness and depth.
