MRB Hanoi denies rumors of slippery mud on the streets related to underground Metro

On the morning of November 17, a representative of the Hanoi Urban Railway Management Board (MRB) denied the rumor that mud suddenly appeared overnight on Ton Duc Thang Street related to Metro Line 3.1 Project.

Specifically, on the evening of November 16, information appeared on some social networking sites that the mud appearing on Ton Duc Thang Street, making the road slippery and causing pedestrians to fall, was related to the construction process of the Urban Railway Line 3.1 Project, Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station section.

According to MRB Hanoi, after a quick review of the current status of the area and the project construction sites, the unit confirmed that the above mud incident was completely outside the construction scope and unrelated to the Metro Line 3.1 Project. The incident occurred near the Ton Duc Thang - Nguyen Thai Hoc intersection, in the Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam flower garden area, not the tunnel construction site or the project site.

According to the authorities at the scene, the initial amount of mud was determined to be caused by the truck transporting mud and soil, causing the road surface to become slippery, causing some vehicles to fall. The origin of the mud was not at all from the Metro line construction.

According to MRB Hanoi, immediately after receiving the information, the unit proactively coordinated with local authorities and functional agencies to inspect and verify the incident, and continued to inspect all construction areas to ensure absolute safety, environmental sanitation and urban traffic.

MRB representative emphasized that they are committed to fully complying with regulations on labor safety and environmental sanitation during the implementation of the Urban Railway Line 3.1 Project. The conflicting information that the mud above comes from the underground drilling project is false and inaccurate.

The Hanoi Urban Railway Management Board expressed its wish to continue receiving the support and sharing of the people of the capital so that the project can be implemented effectively, contributing to the early completion of a modern public transport system for Hanoi.
