Authorities prosecute suspect who assaulted security guard on Ben Thanh – Suoi Tien Metro train.

On October 29th, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Investigation Agency announced that it had issued a decision to initiate a criminal case and prosecute PNVB (born in 2008, residing in Cau Ong Lanh ward) for the crime of "Disrupting public order" and imposed a travel ban to continue the investigation.

The suspect PNVB is directly involved in the incident where a security guard was attacked on the Metro train (Ben Thanh – Suoi Tien) that occurred earlier.

According to initial investigations, at approximately 5 PM on October 26th, on Metro train number 1604 ST-BT departing from Suoi Tien Bus Station to Ben Thanh Station, when the train reached the High-Tech Park station, Mr. THNM (born in 2002, a security guard on the train) reprimanded a female passenger, Ms. NTH (born in 1992, residing in Khanh Hoi Ward), for putting her feet on the seat.

Following the warning, the two young men accompanying Ms. H., PNVB (2008) and NHTK (2010, both residing in Cau Ong Lanh ward), assaulted Mr. M.

The incident was only averted when the train stopped at Thu Duc station, thanks to the intervention of passengers and station staff. Immediately afterward, the parties involved were summoned to work with the authorities.

Based on the documents and evidence collected, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Investigation Agency has served procedural decisions to the defendant PNVB to continue the investigation and handling in accordance with the law.
