Military Region 5 gives gifts to support households severely damaged by storm No. 13 in Quang Ngai

On the morning of November 17, Colonel Tran Minh Trong, Deputy Political Commissar of Military Region 5, and his delegation visited, encouraged, and presented gifts to support households that suffered heavy damage due to storm No. 13 in Ngoc Linh commune, Quang Ngai province.

Specifically, Military Region 5 donated 700 sets of clothes and 3 tons of rice to the people of Ngoc Linh commune; and supported 7 gifts, each worth 3 million VND, to families that suffered heavy damage due to the storm. The gifts showed the affection, responsibility and heart of the officers and soldiers of the Military Region's armed forces, contributing to helping people overcome difficulties and improve their lives.

Colonel Tran Minh Trong deeply sympathized with the losses and difficulties that people are facing; at the same time, he affirmed that the armed forces of Military Region 5 always accompany the people in preventing, combating and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters; proactively coordinating to support people in cleaning up their houses, repairing works and soon stabilizing their lives.

Ngoc Linh commune, Quang Ngai province was the locality that suffered the most damage from the floods in late October and early November, when the roads leading to the commune were eroded at many points, causing serious isolation. Right in the commune, the roads leading to 5 villages of Ngoc Nang, Mo Po, Xa Ua, Ngoc Lan, Tu Rang were swept away by floodwaters, isolating more than 400 households with 1,700 people. After directly arriving at Ngoc Linh commune, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung directed armed units to urgently and quickly support the commune's government and people to overcome difficulties. Up to now, after more than half a month of implementation, the lives of people in Ngoc Linh commune are gradually stabilizing.
