At least three people were killed and at least five others were injured in two shootings in the same area of Kansas City early on June 25 (local time), Missouri State Police said in a statement while investigating the two incidents.
According to police, three victims, two men and one woman, were found dead in a parking lot and on the street. Police were also informed that five other people were also shot but their injuries were not life-threatening and were taken to hospitals by private vehicles or ambulances.

Preliminary investigation information shows that the victims were shot when a crowd gathered in a parking lot at an intersection, outside an auto repair shop, which is believed to be an unofficial after-hours gathering place although no clubs, bars or restaurants are allowed to operate there.
According to Kansas City police (USA), they were also informed of another shooting near the above area, in which at least 1 person was seriously injured.
