Hanoi male student is the national double valedictorian in 2025

(Dan Tri) - With 29.75 points in block A01 (math, physics, English) and 29 points in D01 (math, literature, English), Nguyen Viet Hung (Hanoi) is the double valedictorian of the 2025 high school graduation exam.

In the 2025 high school graduation exam, Hung scored 10 in math and physics, 9.75 in English and 9.25 in literature. With this result, the male student is the double valedictorian nationwide in both blocks A01 and D01.

Hung's plan is to use combination A01 to apply for admission to IT1 (Computer Science ) at Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

It is known that Hung took extra classes in addition to math, combined with practice tests and studying with teachers at school. For physics, about a week before the exam, the male student started practicing the questions.

Commenting on this year's exam, the male student said that although it was a bit long, the exam was not as difficult as previous years.

In English, the male student was quite surprised by the difficulty, but with an IELTS 8.0 certificate, he still passed and only made a small mistake in the reading comprehension section about agriculture .

Previously, in block A00, there were 8 candidates who achieved 3 perfect scores of 10. The candidates came from Hanoi, Phu Tho, Bac Ninh, Thai Binh, Ninh Binh, Ba Ria-Vung Tau (according to the old administrative boundaries).

Among the 8 candidates with perfect scores of 30 in block A00 above, there are 2 candidates from Hanoi and they are not from specialized schools, selective classes: Nguyen Gia Thieu High School and Chuong My A High School.

This year, the high school graduation exam is held with subjects for both students studying the 2018 general education program and students studying under the new exam plan.

At the same time, the Ministry of Education and Training continues to organize exams for students studying under the 2006 general education program who have not graduated or need to retake the exam for university admission.

Previously, the high school graduation exam marking work started from July 5 to July 13.
