Improve production efficiency and income for farmer members

(CT) - In recent years, farmers' associations at all levels in Can Tho City have promoted propaganda, transferred science and technology, provided loans, etc., creating conditions for farmer members to build effective economic models.

In the period of 2021-2025, the association at all levels will coordinate with functional sectors and training institutions to organize vocational training: fruit tree growing techniques, rice seed production... for nearly 2,500 members and farmers; coordinate consultation, introduction and job placement for nearly 3,500 workers who are members and farmers' children. At the same time, coordinate to organize over 1,400 training sessions on technical progress transfer; organize nearly 60 field workshops, visit models; support 321 agricultural, forestry and fishery production and business entities to be granted electronic traceability codes for 621 products...

The association at all levels guarantees for members to buy fertilizers and agricultural materials; mobilizes many farmers to produce and do business well; builds a model of supplying agricultural materials with deferred payment so that members and farmers can feel secure in production. In the past 5 years, the association at all levels has coordinated with the Department of Agriculture and Environment of the city, relevant departments and branches to subsidize members of cooperatives and cooperatives with the quantity of 50,000 seedlings, 450,000 breeding animals, totaling over 3.4 billion VND.

Through practical support activities, the association at all levels has mobilized help for over 14,400 poor and near-poor households; created jobs for nearly 12,900 poor and near-poor households; of which, 720 households have escaped poverty.
