DNVN - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Vietnam GSBezdetko affirmed that President Vladimir Putin's visit to Vietnam aims to create new momentum for developing Vietnam-Russia cooperation in many fields. Russia is ready to provide the most modern clean electricity technology to Vietnam.
Right before the State visit to Vietnam by President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin from June 19-20, 2024 at the invitation of General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Vietnam GSBezdetko gave an assessment of the significance of the visit and the Vietnam-Russian Federation relationship.
Assessing the significance of the visit, Ambassador GSBezdetko said that Russian President Vladimir Putin visited Vietnam this time as the head of a delegation of federal and regional leaders as well as major Russian businesses. This is a state visit, the highest protocol level in relations between countries.
Russian President Vladimir Putin is expected to hold talks and meetings with Vietnamese leaders. The two sides will adopt a joint statement and sign cooperation documents in the fields of highereducation , justice, customs, health, energy, etc.
According to Ambassador GSBezdetko, President Vladimir Putin visited Vietnam as the head of a delegation of federal and regional leaders, as well as major Russian businesses. Russia wishes to continue close and effective cooperation in the fields of energy, industrial production, science and technology, education and training, defense and security, trade and investment.
At the same time, Russia can cooperate with Vietnam in the field of clean energy and decarbonization of the economy. Russia is ready to provide Vietnam with the most modern, reliable and stable technologies in the field of clean electricity, first of all nuclear power. This is the solution chosen by many Asian countries to replace traditional energy sources.
Russia will actively cooperate with Vietnam in the field of education, first of all in higher education. The Union of Technical Universities has been established to expand opportunities for training specialists in the fields of high technology, information technology, energy and aircraft manufacturing. At the same time, it will provide Vietnam with the largest free education quota, including 1,000 scholarships.
Ambassador Prof. Bezdetko expressed his delight at the achievements of Vietnamese students graduating from Russian universities who are working in many economic, industrial, medical, cultural and educational sectors of Vietnam. They have become the core of Russian-Vietnamese people's diplomacy.
President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly spoken about the close relations between Russia and Vietnam over the past decades. The two countries have a rich common history, extensive experience in cooperation in most areas, extensive political dialogue, dynamic humanitarian exchanges, and similar values and development orientations.
All of these are a reliable basis for continuously consolidating and developing the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and the Russian Federation in the current period.
