UOB Vietnam Bank recently celebrated 30 years of presence in the Vietnamese market.

Currently, UOB Vietnam operates as a 100% foreign-owned bank by the UOB Group and is also the only Singaporean bank with a subsidiary in Vietnam. Throughout its 30-year journey, UOB Vietnam has achieved significant milestones, demonstrating the bank's contributions to Vietnam's growth and development.

This year marks another significant milestone for UOB Vietnam as the bank welcomes 575 employees from Citi to join UOB as part of Citigroup's acquisition of its consumer banking businesses in four markets: Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam. The addition of these new personnel will further UOB's ambition to become a truly regional bank, capable of helping customers achieve their financial goals.

Mr. Victor Ngo, General Director of UOB Vietnam, said: "UOB Vietnam is an integral part of the bank's presence in the region, and Vietnam has demonstrated the image of a nation with incredible resilience and adaptability. Vietnam is a key pillar in UOB's vision of becoming 'One Bank for ASEAN'. Going forward, we will continue to support foreign investment as well as domestic businesses, facilitating the increasing flow of investment and trade into Vietnam."

To celebrate its 30th anniversary in Vietnam, UOB Vietnam announced a partnership with Saigon Children's Charity to support a project equipping computer labs in schools across the Mekong Delta region over the next five years. The project is expected to help more than 2,000 students access a digital learning environment and improve their computer skills. UOB Vietnam has been a long-time partner with Saigon Children's Charity in supporting disadvantaged children.

On this occasion, UOB Vietnam is also launching attractive promotional programs for customers.
