On the morning of September 26, the People's Committee of Hoa Son commune (Hoa Vang district, Da Nang city) said that it had drawn up a record of the incident in which the owner of the waste dump let an excavator dig a hole to bury waste and waste on the spot instead of moving it as requested by the local authorities.
Garbage and debris were buried on the spot after the authorities requested their removal.
Previously, from the people's feedback, on the afternoon of September 25, Giao thong Newspaper reporters were present at lot B2, resettlement area No. 6 expansion, belonging to the land exploitation strip of DT602 road (Hoa Son commune) and recorded the situation of burying waste and debris in violation of regulations.
At around 2:30 p.m. the same day, the public land was tightly fenced with corrugated iron. On the front of Nguyen Chi Trung Street, there was only an entrance wide enough for a truck to pass.
Inside the land, rubbish and debris were still scattered. An excavator gathered the rubbish into small piles, then dug holes to bury them on the spot.

To disguise this behavior, after pushing the trash down the hole, the excavator driver immediately covered the surface of the hole with previously dug soil. In nearly half an hour, this excavator dug more than a dozen holes to bury the trash.
According to the investigation, the land being fenced off for the collection of scrap metal is under State management with an area of about 9,000 square meters, and has been temporarily leased to T.D.P Group Joint Stock Company to be used as a scrap metal collection site.
When local authorities came to inspect, more than a dozen holes had been dug to bury the debris.
According to Mr. Nguyen Duy Phuong, Chairman of Hoa Son Commune People's Committee, this land was previously planned for social housing construction. However, because the project has not yet been implemented, it was temporarily rented to a unit to be used as a place to collect scrap.
"Up to now, when this area has a dense population and street names, it is no longer appropriate to gather debris here. The commune government has made a record requesting the removal of all debris within 10 days (from September 23), returning the site to its original state," said Mr. Phuong.
Receiving feedback on the situation of burying waste and debris at the above-mentioned land area, the leaders of Hoa Son Commune People's Committee immediately sent cadastral officers to the gathering place to record the incident.
At the time of the inspection, there were about 13 holes dug to bury the waste. The excavator driver stopped working when he saw the officers coming to record.
All kinds of garbage lay scattered in the dump.
Later, a man named L came to the dump site and explained that he was only leveling the ground to make it easier for trucks to get in and take the debris out of the site. This person repeatedly asserted that he did not bury trash on the site.
However, contrary to Mr. L's words, the clips recorded by PV clearly show the activities of digging holes and burying garbage on the spot.
According to the Hoa Son commune cadastral office, the unit has drawn up a record of the incident, coordinated with functional forces and police agencies to handle the case according to the law.
At the same time, work with the Danang City Land Fund Development Center to hand over this land lot to the management center.
