On May 29, the 30th session of the Provincial People's Council was held.

On the morning of May 27, Vice Chairmen of the An Giang Provincial People's Council Do Tan Kiet and Dinh Thi Viet Huynh chaired the May 2025 meeting of the Provincial People's Council Standing Committee to review and decide on a number of issues under their authority. Vice Chairwoman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy and leaders of a number of relevant departments and branches also attended.

The meeting discussed and gave opinions on the contents of coordination between the Provincial People's Committee and related units on the submission and proposal to develop a resolution regulating the level of social assistance payment costs for social protection beneficiaries through payment service organizations in the province; the plan to allocate increased revenue and expenditure savings of the provincial budget in 2024 to be used in 2025; changes to the contents presented at the 30th session (special topic) of the 10th term, 2021 - 2026. The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council has just decided to convene the 30th session at 8:00 a.m. on May 29.
