
The Global Vietnamese Records Organization (VietWorld) has awarded a record certificate for "National Great Unity Day in the Vietnamese community abroad in Kyushu, Japan"
Spreading the spirit of Great Solidarity - Integration - Development
The event was held to implement Resolution No. 36-NQ/TW dated March 26, 2004 of the Politburo on work with overseas Vietnamese; Directive No. 45-CT/TW dated May 19, 2015 and Conclusion No. 12-KL/TW dated August 12, 2021 on work with overseas Vietnamese in the new situation; along with Resolution No. 26/NQ-MTTW-DCT dated November 11, 2023 of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
In addition, the activity is also associated with the Pilot Project "National Great Unity Day in the Vietnamese community abroad" in 2025 and the Plan to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the Consulate General of Vietnam in Fukuoka (2009 - 2025) and the 95th anniversary of National Great Unity Day.
This is the first time the National Great Unity Day has been organized in the Vietnamese community abroad , marking an important step in implementing the above mentioned pilot project. Thereby, contributing to strengthening solidarity, gathering and promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc in the new period.
The program was organized by the Consulate General in coordination with the Vietnamese Association in Fukuoka, with the theme "Great Unity - Integration - Development - Spreading Identity" .
The event was attended by Ms. Vu Chi Mai - Consul General of Vietnam in Fukuoka and all officers and staff of the Consulate General; Mr. Nguyen Duy Anh - Member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the Vietnamese Association in Fukuoka, Principal of GAG Japanese Language School, Secretary General of the Global Network for Teaching Vietnamese Language and Vietnamese Culture; representatives of the International Committee of Fukuoka Province, the Japan - Vietnam Friendship Association in Fukuoka, and Vietnam Airlines .
In her opening speech, Consul General Vu Chi Mai emphasized that the organization of the Great Unity Day and Sports Festival aims to promote the tradition of solidarity, strengthen the strength of the Vietnamese community in Japan; promote the image of the country, people and culture of Vietnam; at the same time, strengthen cultural and sports exchanges, spread Vietnamese identity in Japan, contributing to building the Vietnamese community in Kyushu, Japan to be united, integrated, developed and oriented towards the homeland and country.

Mr. Nguyen Duy Anh , Head of the Organizing Committee, expressed his emotion when witnessing the large gathering of overseas Vietnamese in Kyushu. He said: "The festival is not only for fun and exchange, but also to affirm a sacred thing: even though living far away from the Fatherland, every Vietnamese person still carries the blood of Lac Hong, still keeps his heart turned towards the homeland. The flag we have arranged together today is not only a symbol of Vietnam - but also a symbol of solidarity, pride and community strength."
He expressed his hope that the Festival will become an annual event, a "common home" connecting associations, businesses, families and young generations of Vietnamese people in Japan.
At the festival, more than a thousand Vietnamese people living, studying and working in Kyushu - Okinawa together created a special mark: the largest Vietnamese national flag made up of people , consisting of 15 blocks representing 15 community components. The Global Vietnamese Records Organization (VietWorld) awarded the record certificate "National Unity Day in the Vietnamese community abroad in Kyushu, Japan" right at the event.
At the same time, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front coordinated with the Consulate General to commend and reward collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in community building, strengthening solidarity, developing the association movement and actively contributing to the preservation of Vietnamese culture and language in Japan .
The Great National Unity Day in Kyushu 2025 is not only a large-scale community activity, but also becomes a symbol of the Vietnamese spirit in Japan .
