Da Nang International Tourism Festival 2025: Connecting and breaking through

Taking place on October 16 and 17, the Da Nang International Tourism Festival 2025 attracted a large number of international travel agencies from key markets of Da Nang and domestic travel companies. This is an opportunity for the city's tourism to connect and break through, becoming a tourism connection center.

Open up trade connections

At the festival, the business connection space (B2B Buyers Meet Sellers) is considered the highlight and one of the largest B2B events in the country. This activity recorded nearly 5,000 business appointments established between Vietnamese and international tourism businesses.

Mr. Feadrizal from MalayViet Company Limited (Malaysia) shared that Malaysian people love to travel in Vietnam and want to explore new places in this country. Recently, the trend of choosing Da Nang has been favored by the company's customers.

“Coming to this tourism festival, I want to find partners to connect and bring tourists to Da Nang as well as learn about new tourism products, attractive tours, routes, preferential service packages…”, Mr. Feadrizal said.

According to Mr. Nguyen Son Thuy, Director of Visit Indochina Company, this year, the festival attracted many partners in different markets, opening up opportunities for trade connections for domestic and foreign travel businesses. Most buyers and sellers in the tourism sector have had transaction connections (Buyers Meet Sellers).

“Our company is moving towards niche markets, specific markets, such as the Muslim market. In addition to preparing Halal tourism products for Muslim customers, we are strengthening connections and expanding cooperation, not only with traditional agents in Malaysia and Indonesia but also targeting the Middle East market, Dubai, Türkiye…”, Mr. Thuy said.

Not only connecting domestic and international tourism markets, Da Nang International Tourism Festival is also an opportunity to promote local products.

Ms. Le Thi Hong Nhung, Deputy Head of Sales Department of Triet Minh Company Limited (TRIMICO) located in Cho Lo Industrial Park (Chien Dan Commune) said that the company's products have been widely promoted, including on domestic e-commerce platforms and towards international platforms.

However, with the size and scale of the event, the company wishes to directly introduce the product to domestic and foreign tourism businesses; thereby spreading the product to more markets more effectively.

Opportunity to grow and break through

According to Mr. Vu The Binh, Chairman of the Vietnam Tourism Association, in 2025, the entire industry is making efforts to implement Resolution No. 226/NQ-CP dated August 5, 2025 of the Government with the goal of welcoming 25 million international visitors. Responding to this spirit, the Vietnam Tourism Association has launched local tourism associations to organize a series of practical action programs.

The event of Da Nang International Tourism Day 2025 is an important highlight, demonstrating the determination, creativity and consensus of the Vietnamese tourism business community in general and Da Nang in particular.

“This is also an important event in the strategy of promoting destinations and enhancing the tourism brand of Da Nang city. We welcomed 120 farm groups from foreign tourism businesses to participate and work. Only by bringing foreign businesses here to contact and connect with Vietnamese businesses can we have the fastest possible growth in visitors,” said Mr. Binh.

According to Mr. Binh, Da Nang is a fast-growing tourism city in the country. Previously, Da Nang was not the locality that attracted the most international visitors, but with its strong growth rate and continuous new tourism activities and products, Da Nang tourism will increasingly attract more international tourists.

Da Nang is a distribution point for visitors to the entire Central region and at the same time a distribution point for visitors to both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. This central position will attract visitors from all regions and spread them out to other places; therefore, Da Nang will sooner or later become a typical center of Vietnam in terms of international visitors.

Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the city Tan Van Vuong said that the 2nd Da Nang International Tourism Festival 2025 is an important event in the strategy of promoting destinations and enhancing the city's tourism brand. This is not only a simple promotional event, but also a meeting place for Da Nang to affirm its position as a center of tourism, conferences and events in the region.

“The festival also creates a long-term cooperation network between Da Nang businesses and travel agencies, hotels, and event organizers from many countries. This is an important foundation for building sustainable relationships, sharing customer sources, exploiting new markets and working towards sustainable tourism development,” said Mr. Vuong.

On the morning of October 16, at the Ariyana International Convention Palace in Da Nang, the Da Nang International Tourism Festival 2025 officially opened. The event was hosted by the Da Nang Tourism Association, in coordination with HorecFex Vietnam.

This year's event attracted more than 400 sellers, 120 international buyers from key markets: Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Korea, China, Japan, Russia, India, CIS countries, Western Europe and more than 180 domestic travel companies and nearly 2,000 attendees representing travel companies, hotels, restaurants, service providers and tour guides.

Immediately after the opening, thematic workshops and in-depth discussions on strategies to attract visitors and develop new tourism products took place enthusiastically.

On October 17, the festival will continue with two key events: the workshop "Strategy to attract the Russian and CIS markets 2026"; "Orientation for Da Nang tourism development in the new period".
