Tourism Festival - OCOP Products of Long My town

(HGO) – On the evening of December 2, the People's Committee of Long My town organized the Opening Ceremony of the 2023 Long My Town OCOP Product - Tourism Festival with an art program themed "Long My Town - Aspiration to Reach Far".

Attending the event were Ms. Ma Thi Tuoi, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Nguyen Thien Nhon, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Organization Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, along with leaders of departments, branches, localities, associations, enterprises, cooperatives and a large number of local people.

Ms. Ma Thi Tuoi, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Nguyen Thien Nhon, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee, presented Great Solidarity houses to households.

The 2023 Long My Town OCOP Product - Tourism Festival is organized for the first time by this locality to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the province's establishment. With many activities: OCOP product display space; "Long My Town's delicious dishes" contest; Training "Learn about tourism and agricultural tourism"; Workshop "Sharing experiences in homestay and community tourism"; Famtrip program "About Long My Town - Listening to rural stories"; Discussion "The role of agricultural tourism and opportunities for Long My Town";...

Mr. Nguyen Van Dien, Deputy Secretary of the Town Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Long My town, said: "These series of activities aim to promote the cultural, historical, natural resource, culinary , and local specialties values, associated with tourism development.
Create favorable conditions for tourist attractions, tourism businesses, travel agencies, hotels, traditional craft villages and tourism development establishments, promote the brand and tourism products of Long My town to domestic and foreign tourists, as a basis to promote and develop the tourism potential and OCOP products of the town in the coming time".

On this occasion, the Town Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Long My town awarded 9 Great Solidarity houses and 10 scholarships to households and students in difficult circumstances in the area.

The program also has 9 performances: song and dance "Vietnam's Pride"; duet "The Land of Steel Transforms"; group song and dance "Song of New Rural Construction"; solo "Love of Hau Giang", song and dance "My Beloved Town";... praising the homeland, the country and expressing the aspirations of Long My town to reach further.
