Movie lovers or those who want to learn about Vietnamese culture have enjoyed special films such as “Peach, Pho and Piano”, a historical war film directed by Phi Tien Son, conveying the resilient spirit, love and affection of Hanoians during difficult times, or the film “Summer School 2001” by Czech-Vietnamese director Dužan Duong, with a message about the value of family in the lives of Vietnamese people in the Czech Republic.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of Vietnam Film Day, Ambassador Duong Hoai Nam emphasized that, on the occasion of the Vietnamese community around the world joyfully celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day and especially in the Czech Republic, where this year marks the 75th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries, introducing Vietnamese films to Czech and international friends will create a positive effect and special meaning.

The films not only bring to the audience the unique features of Vietnamese culture, customs and people, but also help international friends understand and love Vietnam in the most sincere and natural way.
