Nghe An: Highlights on December 31

* This morning (December 31), officers and soldiers of the Provincial Military Command's Engineering Corps deployed the installation of fireworks in the Vinh City Central Park area. The fireworks display aims to create a joyful and exciting atmosphere for the people of the province, while also creating an atmosphere of competition in labor and production to achieve achievements to celebrate the country's major holidays in 2024.

* Nghe An Newspaper will livestream and broadcast live the Countdown Program "Hao khi song Lam" and the fireworks display on all digital platforms from 9:00 p.m. on December 31, 2023.

* In 2023, Nghe An's aquatic product output reached nearly 278,000 tons, an increase of 4.3% over the same period last year, of which seafood exploitation reached more than 199,000 tons. The total economic value of aquatic products is estimated at 5,000 billion VND.

* Although the total pig herd in the province is large, with over 1 million pigs, the vaccination rate against African swine fever is very low, with only over 1,200 pigs vaccinated against African swine fever. This is one of the reasons why the disease has broken out and spread in Nghe An in recent times.
