Performance by the Provincial Cultural and Arts Center at the 2025 National Mobile Propaganda Competition.
Overcome difficulties and complete the task.
One of the biggest challenges is the transportation of staff and artists when they are concentrating on rehearsals, program development, and performances for major, particularly important events in the province. Traveling back and forth between facility 1 and facility 2 takes a lot of time and effort, and significantly impacts personal life. However, with a sense of responsibility and love for their profession, the staff and artists have strived to overcome these difficulties, working together to successfully complete their assigned tasks.
As a resident of Tan Ninh ward, Tay Ninh province, Bui Van Minh Triet, Deputy Head of the Mobile Propaganda, Exhibition and Film Screening Team, regularly works at the second facility of the Provincial Cultural and Arts Center. However, recently, due to work requirements, Mr. Triet and many colleagues have been focusing their work at the first facility. In Long An ward, he and his colleagues are accommodated in the Circus Troupe's dormitory during periods when they are busy organizing programs for important provincial events.
Mr. Triet shared: "Traveling long distances certainly presents certain difficulties; however, I, like my colleagues, have been determined from the beginning to overcome these challenges and complete our tasks for the overall development of the unit and the province."
Currently, to serve the task of organizing the exhibition space to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2nd, Mr. Triet and many colleagues are still present in Long An ward and are expected to continue to stay to serve the propaganda work before, during and after the Provincial Party Congress as well as other important upcoming events.
According to Nguyen Trieu Minh, Director of the Provincial Center for Culture and Arts, in order to support officials, employees, and workers, the Board of Directors always creates favorable conditions and rationally allocates personnel between the two facilities to ensure work efficiency.
"Despite the difficulties, the merger has opened up great opportunities. The system has been streamlined and operates stably, thereby enabling the agency to have sufficient resources to organize large-scale art programs and serve important political events of the province," Mr. Minh affirmed.
The close coordination between the two previously separate units has helped to make activities serving politics, society, and the people more professional and synchronized. Since the province's merger, the Provincial Cultural and Arts Center has organized many performance programs serving the First Congress of the Party Committee of the People's Committee of Tay Ninh Province; the handover ceremony, memorial service, and burial of the remains of Vietnamese martyrs who died in Cambodia; the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam People's Police;...
Simultaneously, many musical, dance, circus, and magic shows have been brought closer to the public. Notably, the Center recently participated in the National Mobile Propaganda Competition and won 1 Gold Medal, 2 Silver Medals for its performance, and 1 certificate of merit for an individual.
Affirming the brand of the Vam Co Cai Luong (Vietnamese traditional opera) troupe.
People's Artist Ho Ngoc Trinh performs in a paid performance by the Vam Co Cai Luong Art Troupe.
Besides the Cultural and Arts Center, the Cai Luong Troupe also made new strides under the name Vam Co Cai Luong Art Troupe. After being reorganized, the Troupe gradually improved the quality of its actors, attracting many Golden Bell and Silver Bell award winners such as Meritorious Artist Ngoc Doi, Artist Le Dieu Hien, Artist Le Hoang Nghi, Artist Phu Yen, etc.
In addition to investing in the creation of new plays featuring many veteran artists, the Vam Co Cai Luong Art Troupe also aims to promote paid performances and plans to tour to serve audiences within the province.
“The Vam Co Cai Luong Art Troupe today is a continuation and development of the Long An Cai Luong Art Troupe. This is considered a turning point for the Troupe, reflecting its aspiration to renew its artistic thinking as well as to be more deeply connected to the cultural identity of the Vam Co River and the historically rich land of Tay Ninh,” affirmed People's Artist Ho Ngoc Trinh, Head of the Vam Co Cai Luong Art Troupe.
Currently, the Vam Co Cai Luong (Vietnamese traditional opera) Troupe is staging a new historical drama, "The Imperial City of the Waves," set during the Dinh Dynasty, to highlight the patriotism, sacrifice, and wisdom of our ancestors. The play chooses a grand, epic theme, with the script written by Doctor and People's Artist Trieu Trung Kien and playwright Hoang Song Viet.
The biggest challenge facing the troupe currently is finding a new approach to a character that is quite familiar in both history and art – Empress Dowager Dương Vân Nga. This demonstrates the troupe's determination to preserve and promote cải lương (Vietnamese traditional opera) in the current context.
In the current post-merger period, as the organizational structure and operations are just beginning to stabilize, and despite numerous challenges in terms of preferential policies, mechanisms, and infrastructure, those working in the culture and arts of Tay Ninh are striving with effort and passion, continuing to contribute to the development of the province.
