According to the National Center for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting, on the afternoon of October 27, Typhoon No. 6 (also known as Typhoon Tra Mi) made landfall in the provinces of Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam , and Da Nang.

In proactive response to Typhoon Tra Mi, on the afternoon of October 26th, the Da Nang City People's Committee issued a directive requesting agencies and units in the area to implement measures; and also urged residents to limit leaving their homes from 10:00 AM on October 27th.

Speaking to VietNamNet reporters on the afternoon of October 27th, the Da Nang Department of Information and Communications announced that the 'Danang SmartCity' application has added a 'Purchasing Assistance' feature, allowing residents to order various essential goods and supplies from home without having to go out in rainy and flooded conditions caused by Typhoon Tra Mi.

In addition to providing timely support to people during natural disasters, floods, or epidemics, a special feature of the 'Purchasing on Behalf' function on the 'Danang Smart City' digital citizen application is that people can order multiple types of essential goods from various stores and platforms in a single order. Furthermore, users of this feature also receive free shipping.

Launched in 2020, the multi-service mobile application 'Danang Smart City' currently offers over 30 smart services and utilities for searching, providing information, notifications, and timely alerts to citizens and the community, such as: reporting and controlling Covid-19 outbreaks in Da Nang; checking one-stop service records, traffic violations, land prices; monitoring rainfall, etc.

Using digital citizen applications to support people in responding to floods after Typhoon Yagi: The Ministry of Information and Communications requests that provincial Departments of Information and Communications utilize the achievements of their local digital transformation, such as digital citizen applications on smartphones, to regularly update information and guide people on skills for preventing and responding to floods after Typhoon Yagi.
