To support individuals and household businesses in preparing to switch to the tax declaration method from 2026, the Tax Department has just launched an Experience Portal for household and individual businesses. This platform is designed as a full practice model, helping taxpayers familiarize themselves with the entire process from tax registration, declaration, payment and refund to registration and use of electronic invoices.

The most outstanding feature of the Experience Portal is the creation of a "safe zone" where taxpayers can practice , make mistakes, and correct them at their own discretion without worrying about incurring financial obligations or facing legal risks. The goal is that when entering the actual tax filing period, taxpayers will have grasped the process, understood each step, and confidently carried it out.

Accordingly, business households can access the administrative procedure processing information system via the link: https://dichvucong.gdt.gov.vn/tthc/homelogin and select the function "Experience for business households and individuals".

Tax registration

Taxpayers can choose the tax registration function to experience the 14 steps.

Tax registration is the first and mandatory step for households and individual businesses to obtain a tax identification number or register a personal identification number as a tax identification number, and to record business location information in order to fulfill tax obligations as prescribed by law.

Complete, accurate, and timely tax registration helps tax authorities manage taxpayer information uniformly, facilitating tax declarations, payments, and electronic tax transactions. This is also a crucial preparatory step for the transition from the lump-sum tax method to the declaration-based tax method, contributing to increased transparency, fairness, and efficiency in tax management for household and individual businesses.

Register for invoices

Taxpayers continue to choose to register for invoices to experience the 8-step process.

The electronic invoice registration function for household businesses allows taxpayers to register or change information for using electronic invoices according to regulations. Through this function, household businesses can submit registration documents, update information, and track the processing status by the tax authorities, ensuring the correct and convenient use of electronic invoices in their business operations.

Tax filing

Household businesses continue to choose to experience the tax filing process.

Tax filing is the process by which households and individual businesses self-declare their revenue, expenses, and taxes payable according to regulations. Tax filing helps businesses fulfill their obligations correctly and ensures their rights are protected when tax refunds or information adjustments are needed.

Common types of tax declarations include: electronic invoice usage declaration, value-added tax declaration, personal income tax declaration, special consumption tax declaration, environmental protection tax declaration, resource tax declaration, annual tax declaration, etc.

Tax refund

When selecting the tax refund function, business households will go through 8 steps.

Tax refunds are a right of households and individual businesses when the amount of tax paid exceeds the actual amount due. To receive a tax refund, households and businesses need to submit a tax refund request along with the tax return, statements, and related documents.

Pay taxes

Through the 6-step tax filing process, business households will be able to calculate their own tax liability based on actual revenue and legitimate expenses when the lump-sum tax system is abolished and the tax declaration system is implemented.

The taxes that need to be paid include: value-added tax, personal income tax, excise tax, environmental protection tax, resource tax, along with related declarations, statements, and documents.
