Foreign Ministry spokesman informs about citizen protection situation in Nepal

(Chinhphu.vn) - On September 11, at the regular press conference of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pham Thu Hang informed about the situation of protecting Vietnamese citizens in Nepal.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson, there are currently an estimated 250 Vietnamese citizens living in Nepal.

In light of recent developments in Nepal, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has instructed the Vietnamese Embassy in India, which also covers Nepal, to closely monitor the situation and urgently work with local authorities to gather information and assess the possibility of Vietnamese citizens being in distress; and to ensure the security and safety of Vietnamese citizens in Nepal.

According to information from the Vietnamese Embassy in India, which also covers Nepal, there have been no reports of Vietnamese citizens being affected by the current protests in Nepal.
