Writer Trinh Quang Phu donated a book about Uncle Ho to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

On the afternoon of October 22, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Headquarters, Professor, Dr. Writer Trinh Quang Phu respectfully presented the book "Following His Footsteps" to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Permanent Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Vu received this meaningful gift on behalf of the Ministry.

Attending the book presentation ceremony were Writer Nguyen Quang Thieu, Chairman of the Vietnam Writers Association ; Lieutenant General, Writer Huu Uoc, Chairman of the Public Security Writers Association; Colonel Tran Cao Kieu, Editor-in-Chief of the People's Public Security Publishing House.

On the side of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, there were Ms. Pham Phuong Chi, Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Cultural Diplomacy; Mr. Dao Quyen Truong, Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Cultural Diplomacy; Ms. Chu Thi Thu Phuong, Senior Specialist of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Cultural Diplomacy.

Speaking at the book launch, Professor and Doctor Trinh Quang Phu, a writer, said that the book "Following in the Footsteps of the Great Leader " was published in June 2024 and has now been reprinted nine times. Being reprinted multiple times within a year and a half is an indicator of how well the book has been received by readers. A writer's happiness comes from having their book well-received. But more importantly, this indicator is a measure of the love and respect that generations of readers have for President Ho Chi Minh.

Writer Trinh Quang Phu said that he had worked for 10 years at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Provisional Revolutionary Government of the Republic of South Vietnam with Ms. Nguyen Thi Binh. He shared that the book, which he had cherished for many years, recorded the trips and profound impressions of President Ho Chi Minh through the perspective of someone who had met, learned about and followed his "footprints" in many countries. The work is a deep gratitude to Uncle Ho - the one who laid the foundation for modern Vietnamese diplomacy.

According to the writer, in the near future, the Russian University of Culture will reprint the book Following His Footsteps in Russian and will give this book to Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Dang Minh Khoi. Writer Trinh Quang Phu is also willing to give 15-20 copies to each Vietnamese Embassy abroad to spread to more readers.

The Permanent Deputy Minister thanked Professor, Dr., Writer Trinh Quang Phu for writing the book Following His Footsteps and highly appreciated the dedication and efforts in collecting and compiling by writer Trinh Quang Phu - who has been involved in cultural, historical and people's diplomacy research for many years.

Permanent Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Vu affirmed that the book Following in His Footsteps is not only a valuable document about the life, career and leadership style of President Ho Chi Minh, but also contributes to spreading his ideological values, ethics and diplomatic vision to the cadres and civil servants of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today.
