The Sports & Culture Newspaper held an award ceremony on the afternoon of May 28 in Hanoi . Musician Pham Tuyen was present to receive the award, without sharing or speaking, just a gentle smile, but everyone in the audience was moved to meet the "musician of the people".
When his children's songs were played, everyone clapped to the rhythm of the songs that were part of their childhood.

Musician Pham Tuyen (born in 1930) is one of the great names in Vietnamese music in the second half of the 20th century. In his massive composing career spanning more than half a century, he has left a deep mark in many genres, especially prominent with songs for children.

Of the more than 700 songs he wrote, there are more than 200 songs for children, some of which have become classic children's songs of Vietnamese music, living forever in the memories of many generations of Vietnamese children.

In 2013, Pham Tuyen set a record for "Musician who composed the most widely popular children's songs" recognized by the Vietnam Record Organization.
He also composed 41 nursery rhymes to convey the rustic and familiar beauty of Vietnamese natural landscapes, people, and folk culture to children.
For the first time, after many years of lying dormant in a music book, that “treasure” has been introduced through the book project Children's nursery rhymes , with his daughter - journalist Pham Hong Tuyen - as the narrator. Volume 1, titled Returning to the Homeland, has been released to readers.
Not stopping at introducing songs, the book project also chose a multimedia book format, combining storytelling, music, illustrations and QR codes to listen to music and stories.
With the imprint of the book project Children's nursery rhymes , musician Pham Tuyen was considered for his entire career to be awarded the Cricket Knight Award.
The jury determined that “musician of childhood” Pham Tuyen deserved the title of Knight of Crickets. Before him, the Knight of Crickets award was given to writers Nguyen Nhat Anh (2020), Tran Duc Tien (2023), and Ly Lan (2024).

The soldier who wrote the poem was awarded the Cricket Prize.
In addition to the grand prize for musician Pham Tuyen, the organizing committee also awarded the De Men Aspiration Prize to 5 works:
1. Paintings by young artist Pham Hai Nguyen (13 years old, Lang Son).
2. There is a flat Earth in your eyes (manuscript of Ly Thang Long's poetry collection).
3. The ancient book of a goddess (story by Nguyen Hoang Dieu Thuy, Kim Dong Publishing House).
4. Two books by Dy Duyen: From the vegetable fields at Cuc Cu farm (Drawn by Dot Dot, Kim Dong Publishing House) and Things you use to fill a hole (Drawn by Thanh Vu, Kim Dong Publishing House).
5. The Farm at the End of the Forest (story by Pham Cong Luan, Kim Dong Publishing House).

3/5 of the Cricket Aspiration Awards are young authors, new writers for children.
In which, author Dy Duyen has 2 works honored: From the vegetable fields at Cuc Cu farm (Dom Dot painted, Kim Dong Publishing House) and Things you use to fill a hole (Thanh Vu painted, Kim Dong Publishing House).
Dy Duyen was born in 1987 and has only been writing for children for the past few years. In 2019, she released her debut work Wild Chrysanthemums and Sunbeams (Kim Dong Publishing House), a story with a fairy tale feel.
Nguyen Hoang Dieu Thuy with the story collection The Ancient Book of a Mother Goddess . Previously, in 2022, this author also won the De Men Aspiration Award with the work Swinging on the Top of the Banyan Tree.
Ly Thang Long was born in 2000 and is currently performing military service in Dong Nai. At the award ceremony, Thang Long said he composed the poetry collection during his guard shifts and during his military service.
The judges assessed the collection of poems as impressive with its combination of innocent perspective and the ability to evoke deep thoughts. The collection of poems shows the return of a poetic voice that is both profound and innocent.
