(Dan Tri Newspaper) - The "Welcome to Show" art program takes the audience on a journey to explore the culture of the three regions of Vietnam: North, Central, and South, along with impressive instrumental performances.
Recently, the "Chào show" art program held a performance in Ho Chi Minh City, attracting the attention of many viewers.
Throughout the program are 12 musical chapters imbued with the spirit of folk music , composed and arranged by musician Tran Manh Hung - one of the most successful musicians of modern Vietnamese instrumental music.
30 traditional Vietnamese musical instruments were performed at the "Welcome Show" concert on the evening of March 16th ( Video : Bich Phuong).
Musician Tran Manh Hung said he composed the music for the show five years ago. However, due to Covid-19, the project had to be delayed several times.
When starting to make, the production team also faced many challenges. The musical instruments were ordered to be crafted by ethnic artisans, and had to go through a difficult transportation process from the village by cart before being brought to the city.

The program lasts 90 minutes, in which stories of nature and people of Vietnam through 100 years of history are told through music, through 30 traditional musical instruments such as monochord, zither, bamboo flute, T'rung, gong, leaf horn, lithophone...
With each performance, the audience discovers and enjoys unique cultural nuances: the elegant and ancient North; the profound and lyrical Central region; and the free-spirited and joyful South.
The organizers added that most of the artists performing at the show are lecturers from the conservatory. Before the premiere of the "Chào show" in Ho Chi Minh City, musician Tran Manh Hung and his team spent two months practicing to perform various traditional Vietnamese musical instruments flawlessly.
A unique feature of Chao show is the combination of music, images and typical cuisine of each region, so that viewers can simultaneously hear, see and taste unique delicacies from the North, Central and South.
The art program also incorporates 3D sound technology, lighting, and LED screens, enhancing the visual and auditory experience for the audience.

Speaking to a reporter from Dan Tri newspaper at the performance on the evening of March 16th, audience member Trinh Ho (37 years old, Ho Chi Minh City) expressed her enjoyment of watching the concert.
"This is the first time I've enjoyed an art program featuring melodies from so many traditional folk instruments. The performances, tracing the length of Vietnam in an S-shape, were fascinating, helping me understand more about the culture and soul of each region," said Ms. Trinh.
However, some audiences also suggested that the program's organizers adjust the duration and space to suit the needs of local audiences and international tourists.
