Many meaningful activities at the 2nd Vietnam-Cambodia border defense friendship exchange

The second Vietnam-Cambodia border defense friendship exchange will take place in the common border area of the two countries, Tay Ninh and Svay Rieng provinces.

At the meeting, Colonel Dang Thanh Minh, Deputy Director of the Foreign Affairs Department, Ministry of National Defense , said: The 2nd Vietnam-Cambodia border defense friendship exchange will be held from November 13 to 14 in Tay Ninh and Svay Rieng provinces. The Vietnamese delegation is led by General Phan Van Giang, Minister of National Defense; the Cambodian delegation is led by General Tea Seiha, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense.

According to Colonel Dang Thanh Minh, the highlight of this exchange is the talks and signing of cooperation documents, creating a unified framework of viewpoints, policies and cooperation to create a new breakthrough in the defense cooperation relationship between the two countries to achieve more and more effectiveness in the coming time.

In addition, specific activities for people on both sides of the border such as medical examination and treatment, giving breeding cows, inaugurating boarding areas and giving learning materials to students... have also been raised to a larger scale.

Main activities at the exchange: Official welcoming ceremony for the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense of Cambodia; planting friendship trees; joint military medical exercise between the two armies; inauguration ceremony of the boarding school of Ben Cau Primary School (Thuan Lam hamlet, Ben Cau commune, Tay Ninh); twinning ceremony of residential clusters on both sides of the border between Long Cuong hamlet, Long Thuan commune, Tay Ninh and O Ta Mo hamlet, Mo No Rum commune, Svay Teap district, Svay Rieng province; talks and signing of cooperation documents between the two Ministries of National Defense; visiting the traditional house of Division 5, Military Region 7.

In Cambodia: Welcoming and farewell ceremony for the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense; salute and vermilion marking of Sovereignty Marker 171; friendship tree planting; joint patrol between the border management and protection forces of the two countries; attending the groundbreaking ceremony for the friendship project Sang Sovan Primary School, Svay Teap District, Svay Rieng Province; visiting the headquarters of the Gendarmerie Command of Svay Rieng Province.

Before the official exchange program, the two countries will have activities such as military medical cooperation in examining and treating patients, providing free medicine to people on both borders, and exchanging young officers of the two countries' armies.
