Many resorts in the province have announced preferential policies for tourists at the end of the year.

In 2024, according to the assessment of the Department of Tourism of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, Ba Ria-Vung Tau destinations will not only grow in the number of visitors and revenue but also receive high votes and rankings from prestigious organizations in the world . In early 2024, Vung Tau was honored as "ASEAN Clean Tourist City", becoming the only tourist city in Vietnam to receive this award 3 times in a row.

On August 13, the booking application Booking.com announced a list of 10 destinations that Vietnamese tourists love during the 4-day September 2 holiday. Accordingly, Vung Tau ranked 3rd, just after Da Lat and Da Nang . The above data is based on the number of searches and bookings from August 31 to September 2.

According to Director of the Department of Tourism of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province Trinh Hang, it can be said that the province has gone through the first months of the year with results exceeding expectations, firmly holding the championship position as the most favorite domestic destination for Vietnamese tourists.

Con Dao is also regularly voted by travel websites as the most classy and mysterious tourist destination on the planet. Recently, Time Out Magazine (UK) ranked Con Dao 4th in the list of 24 pristine, new, and less crowded destinations in the world for tourists. At the end of July, The Bluffs Grand Ho Tram golf course was listed by Golf Digest magazine in the list of the 100 best golf courses in the world at 68th place. This is also the only representative of Vietnam to make it to this prestigious list, bringing the total number of The Bluffs Grand Ho Tram golf courses into the top 100 of the ranking over 5 times (in 2016, 2017, 2022, 2022 and 2024).

To attract customers during the low season, the Department of Tourism of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province and accommodation establishments and service businesses in the area have launched promotional programs for room rates, food and beverage services, hall rental prices, and discounts on services included in the tour program from 10% to 65%. In addition, many hotels and resorts have adjusted the discount level deeper than the announced stimulus program, with special flexible discounts for regular customers and traditional partners with the desire that customers enjoy good quality services at the most preferential prices.

In addition, to meet the increasing demands of tourists, the Department of Tourism of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province has recently announced 230 destinations and 54 tours, including 12 tours serving cruise tourists. The tourist areas and spots are spread throughout the province, of which Vung Tau city and Xuyen Moc district have the most with 40 and 39 areas and spots capable of receiving and serving tourists. Traditional craft villages in particular can develop a community tourism model concentrated in Ba Ria (Hoa Long wine-making village), Dat Do (Phuoc Hoi yam cooperative), Long Dien (An Ngai rice paper village).

The above destinations were surveyed by the Department of Tourism in coordination with specialized departments, People's Committees of districts, towns and cities, assessed the current status and consulted with relevant agencies, travel agencies in the province and the actual needs of tourists before being announced to serve the work of promoting and advertising tourism.

Con Dao District ranked 4th in the list of 24 pristine, new, and less crowded destinations in the world for tourists.

According to Mr. Trinh Hang, Director of the Department of Tourism of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, the launch of the incentive program aims to stimulate tourism demand, reduce prices but not reduce service quality and give away many additional services. In addition, with the determination to make tourism a spearhead economic sector of the province, an impressive destination for domestic and international tourists, the Department of Tourism also proactively coordinates with departments, branches, sectors and localities to actively advise the Provincial People's Committee to synchronously deploy many tasks and solutions to promote tourism development in the province and localities, implement the Planning of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, continuing to identify tourism as one of the four pillars of growth focused on development.

To realize the province's planning, the Department of Tourism has coordinated with a consulting unit to develop the Provincial Tourism Development Strategy to 2030 with a vision to 2050. The strategy aims to develop Ba Ria-Vung Tau into a high-class resort center by 2030, a leading entertainment destination in Vietnam, famous in the region. By 2050, Ba Ria-Vung Tau will be a famous destination on the regional and world map, with a vibrant coastal urban tourism chain system with diverse and unique types. The tourism industry has a high level of development, truly becoming a driving force for trade, services and other industries, contributing significantly to the formation of a modern economic structure based on the foundation of sustainable green growth./.
