Built as a “symphony of memories and hopes”, the concert is a stage for current students studying at Hanoi Children's Palace and generations of former students, artists, and collaborators to sing songs associated with their childhood.

The audience was moved to listen to the performances of the 1960s and 1970s by the Hoa Mi and Son Ca teams, children's songs that have been with them through the years such as Bringing rice to mother while plowing, Children of the world festival, Tien len doan vien, Me yeu con ... and newly loved children's songs.

The Nightingale team, each with their own profession and successful, gathered together at a music night to reminisce about their brilliant childhood at the roof of the Hanoi Children's Palace.

Back then, musicians Pham Tuyen, Hoang Van, Mong Lan, Nguyen Duc Toan, Van Dung, Mong Long, Han Ngoc Bich, Bui Dinh Thao... would give each song they composed to the Hoa Mi and Son Ca teams at the Hanoi Children's Palace to sing.

The staff at the palace not only play the piano and teach singing to the children, but also take care of their performance costumes and post-performance meals.

Soloists Minh Ha, Hong Thuy, Thu Thuy, Hong Loan… sang the songs of their childhood again in the same way they sang them decades ago.

The image of people who have been promoted to "grandfather" and are wearing red scarves standing and singing children's songs that "go with the years" has moved many viewers.

Singer Hong Ky - a soloist of the Hanoi Children's Palace since 1964, also recalled the time when he and the Hoa Mi choir studied singing, dancing, and music at the Hanoi Children's Palace and contributed many performances to the program "Singing Over the Bombs" on Voice of Vietnam Radio.

Hong Nhung's magical childhood

In particular, the sharing of memories by many singers who were once associated with Hanoi Children's Palace revived childhood memories in many people.

Singer Bong - Hong Nhung could not attend the live show, she sent a video to share memories and congratulate the Hanoi Children's Home on its 70th anniversary.

Hong Nhung was moved and happy as she recounted her "wonderful childhood" at the Hanoi Children's Palace, where she "studied dancing with mother Toan, learned performing with father Bich, and was taken to perform all over Vietnam with father Quynh".

I wish that today's children will have a wonderful childhood like Ms. Bong in the past.

Conductor Le Phi Phi from Macedonia also sent congratulations to Hanoi Children's Palace on behalf of his father - musician Hoang Van.

He talked about the close bond between his father and the Hanoi Children's Palace. Musician Hoang Van composed two songs for the Hanoi Children's Palace, Childhood Star and Hanoi Children's Palace.

He was also one of the supporters of the idea of establishing a choir at the Hanoi Children's Palace. When musician Hoang Van turned 70, the Hanoi Children's Palace also organized a concert to honor the musician's close relationship with the palace.

Singers Minh Vuong, Tang Nhat Tue... also came back to sing and share memories to celebrate the 70th anniversary of their childhood home.

Tang Nhat Tue sang the song " Red Kite" by the late musician Duy Quang, a song that when he was still in the Hanoi Children's Palace Choir, musician Duy Quang chose him to sing solo, but unfortunately he had an accident and lost the only opportunity to sing solo at that time.

Speaking at the music festival, Mr. Duong Minh Duc - Director of Hanoi Children's Palace, said that over the past 7 decades, this place has been the cradle to nurture, discover and nurture young talents, a space for education, creativity, entertainment and growth of millions of team members, teenagers and children.

Many outstanding faces have grown up from this roof, from artists like Thanh Lam, Hong Nhung, Minh Quan... to teachers, journalists, doctors, engineers, cadres and soldiers who are dedicating themselves day and night to the country.
