“Zero-dong” trips in flooded areas

DNO - When the DT605 route through Hoa Tien commune and Hoa Xuan ward was deeply flooded due to long-term heavy rain, "free" buses took people safely through the flooded area.

On October 30, on National Highway 1A and DT605 through Hoa Tien commune and Hoa Xuan ward, there were many deeply flooded areas.

Flooded areas at the intersection of DT605 - National Highway 1A and the DT605 section in front of Le Trach market (Hoa Tien commune) have been cordoned off, restricting traffic. Meanwhile, at the beginning of DT605, many areas are flooded more than 0.5m, with fast-flowing water, causing insecurity for people and vehicles.

After the house in Thach Bo village (Hoa Tien commune) was flooded, Vo Thi Cuc's family took a taxi along Highway 605 to a relative's house in Duong Son village (Hoa Xuan ward) for temporary shelter.

Unfortunately, the low-chassis taxi could not move through the deep flood. At that time, Ms. Cuc was transferred to the passenger van team of the Da Nang Car and Motorcycle Driving Training Center to go through the flooded area for free.

Standing at the beginning of Highway 605 since the morning of October 30, Mr. Nguyen Dung (La Bong village, Hoa Tien commune) continuously drove a shuttle bus to transport people, vehicles, and goods through flooded areas for free.

“My family is also in the flooded area, but in the face of natural disasters, I am ready to support people,” Mr. Dung shared.

The charity buses, transporting people and units supplying food and necessities through flooded areas, are expected to continue until the water recedes.
