In that situation, the commune government asked the Provincial People's Committee for permission to blast rocks, and at the same time requested the military to coordinate and support the construction. From October 1 to October 14, 2025, the functional forces mobilized human resources and equipment to focus on drilling and blasting to handle the landslide with a volume of more than 5,000 m³. Photo: Van Truong A representative of Nghe An Bridge and Road Construction Joint Stock Company - the unit managing National Highway 48, said: The recent storm caused landslides at more than 20 points along the route, of which storm No. 10 created 3 new landslides in Thong Thu (old) and Dong Van (old) communes. Up to now, the unit has mobilized machinery to level more than 50,000 m³ of soil and rock and completed over 50% of the stone embankment in Dong Van (old) commune.
