Yen Bai’s new rural area is achieving many good results. In Tan Phuong commune (Luc Yen district, Yen Bai province), farmers have donated thousands of square meters of land for public works, including roads, striving to reach the new rural area goal in 2025.
The road leading to the residential area and production area of Khieng Khun village (Tan Phuong commune, Luc Yen district, Yen Bai province) is 400m long. Previously, this road was a trail, not yet solidified, so traveling was very difficult, especially in the rainy season.
Implementing the national target program on new rural construction, Khieng Khun village held a meeting to discuss expanding and pouring concrete on this road, and the villagers highly agreed.
However, many sections of the roadbed are still small and do not meet the demand. Through propaganda and mobilization, 7 households have agreed to cut down cinnamon trees, remove fences and give up 1,200 square meters of land to build this road.

"When donating the land, my family did not ask for compensation with the hope that when this road is completed, everyone will be more united, and the villagers' lives will be more stable and prosperous." - Ms. Ban Thi Chi shared.
