NTO - Launching ceremony of the Sustainable Environment Project for Coastal Cities - Phan Rang City Sub-project

On February 20, at the Central Regulating Lake project, My Binh ward (Phan Rang - Thap Cham city), the Board of Capacity Building and Implementation of ODA projects in the water sector held the Spring Launch Ceremony of Giap Thin year 2024 to deploy construction of works under the project "Sustainable environment of coastal cities - Phan Rang - Thap Cham city sub-project".

Attending the ceremony were comrades: Nguyen Duc Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Tran Quoc Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; comrades in the Provincial Party Standing Committee and leaders of departments, branches and localities.

Comrades: Nguyen Duc Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Tran Quoc Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee presented gifts to encourage the construction contractor.

The Phan Rang - Thap Cham City sub-project was implemented from 2016 and will end on June 30, 2024, with a total investment of 103.82 million USD; of which, the World Bank loan is 66.524 million USD, the counterpart capital is 31.432 million USD. The investment objective of the project is to improve environmental sanitation conditions, improve the health of the city's people through completing technical infrastructure, creating a "green - clean - beautiful" landscape, aiming to develop a modern smart city. According to the investor, the entire project has so far reached 78% of the volume, the total disbursed capital is 1,751/2,253 billion VND, with 13 construction and installation packages; of which, 4/13 packages have been completed, the remaining packages are being urgently constructed, basically meeting the required progress.

Comrade Tran Quoc Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee presented gifts to encourage workers.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and praised the efforts of the investor, the spirit of close coordination of the Party Committee and local authorities, especially the support of the people in the area, promoting the progress of the project to achieve certain results. He emphasized that this is a Group A project, a key project of the province, the target of completion in June 2024 is extremely important, contributing to creating prestige, responsibility and commitment of the province to the sponsor World Bank, thereby creating a premise to continue to mobilize and call for more projects. Accordingly, the investor is required to launch a "90-day, night" emulation campaign to create a vibrant atmosphere in the construction of items, coordinate with construction contractors, consultants, and supervisors to focus on mobilizing all resources, equipment, machinery, and human resources to complete the remaining work of the bid packages, determined to complete on schedule, put the project into operation soon, and ensure effective promotion after investment.
