On the evening of October 15th, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor held the first "Dynamic, Creative, and Responsible Female Trade Union Member" award ceremony and commendation ceremony for the "Excellent in National Work, Excellent in Family Responsibilities" emulation movement for the period 2020-2025.

In particular, Ms. Nguyen Thi Quynh Giao - Deputy General Director of BIDV - was among the 10 female union members who received the "Dynamic, Creative, and Responsible Female Union Member" award. She is also the first and only female representative from the banking sector to receive this award, recognizing her outstanding contributions to professional work, union activities, and her pioneering role as a female leader in the finance and banking sector.
" BIDV's success today is not only measured by growth figures, but also by the journey of building a humane, equitable, and inspiring work environment – where every female employee can shine with her intellect, courage, and heart."
Deputy General Director Nguyen Thi Quynh Giao
Speaking to a BIDV reporter, Deputy General Director Nguyen Thi Quynh Giao said she felt proud, honored, and grateful to represent the women of BIDV in receiving the award from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. “As a female leader in the finance and banking industry, I believe that the sustainable strength of an organization does not come from its size, but from its people – especially women who know how to transform dedication into innovation.” , Ms. Quynh Giao shared.

Looking ahead, Deputy General Director Nguyen Thi Quynh Giao proposed several recommendations to create new impetus for the development of Vietnamese women in the new era.
Firstly, we need to develop a "National Program on Women's Leadership Development in the Digital Age," connecting the State, businesses, and trade unions, to train Vietnamese women in leadership skills, innovation, and digital management.
Secondly , establish the "Vietnam Women's Initiative Fund," co-sponsored by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and major corporations and banks, to provide resources for ideas and initiatives of female workers, employees, and laborers to be applied in practice.
Thirdly , we need to make the criterion of "Gender equality and sustainable development" a pillar in evaluating advanced businesses, so that empowering women is no longer a movement, but a core value of modern Vietnamese corporate culture.

It can be said that the "Dynamic, Creative, and Responsible Female Trade Union Member" award is a well-deserved recognition of the persistent contributions and dedication of Deputy General Director Nguyen Thi Quynh Giao - and at the same time affirms the role and impact of female BIDV employees in the overall development of the banking industry.
As of September 2025, BIDV had 16,225 female employees, accounting for 58% of the total number of staff and union members in the entire system. Among them, female leaders at all levels are increasingly asserting their position and capabilities: 3 female members of the Board of Directors and the General Management Board; 315 female Directors and Deputy Directors of Departments and Branches, accounting for 32% of the total number of leaders at this level; and notably, over 4,390 female department leaders, accounting for over 54% of the departmental management team.
