On the morning of January 10th, the People's Committee of Co To district, in coordination with S&D Research and Investment Co., Ltd., held a ceremony to announce the certificate of protection for the "Co To - Quang Ninh Fish Sauce" trademark.
Accordingly, the Certificate of Registration for the "Co To - Quang Ninh Fish Sauce" certification mark, number 521621, issued by the Intellectual Property Office under Decision No. 157085/QD-SHTT dated December 30, 2024, is valid from the date of issuance until the end of 10 years from the date of application (December 4, 2023).
The right to use the certification mark “Co To Fish Sauce - Quang Ninh” is granted to the following organizations and individuals selected for the pilot program: Nguyen Dang Luong business household, Zone 1, Co To town; Le Van Chin establishment, Truong Xuan village, Dong Tien commune; Le Thi Giang establishment, Truong Xuan village, Dong Tien commune; and Pham Van Quang establishment, Hai Tien village, Dong Tien commune. The certificate is issued according to Decision No. 1568/QD-UBND dated December 30, 2024, of the People's Committee of Co To district and is valid for 5 years from the date of signing.
At the conference, delegates also received training on managing and developing the "Co To Fish Sauce - Quang Ninh" certification mark, including: identifying the certification mark design, information about the certification mark, a map of the product's production and business area, solutions to improve the effectiveness of managing and developing the Co To fish sauce certification mark, experience in brand management and development, and how to effectively use the "Co To Fish Sauce" certification mark.
The "Co To Fish Sauce" brand is registered for protection, management, and promotion as a certification mark to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of consumers and businesses, establish management and promotional tools, and develop a plan for promoting, exploiting, and developing the certification mark.
This is a significant effort in maintaining the prestige and reputation of the product, as well as contributing to the development of Co To's tourism service industry. It demonstrates the district's determination to not only preserve traditional crafts but also promote the application of technology in production, domestic consumption, and expand export markets.
