On the morning of January 10, the People's Committee of Co To district coordinated with S&D Research and Investment Company Limited to organize the announcement of the certificate of protection of the certified trademark "Co To - Quang Ninh fish sauce".
Accordingly, the Certificate of Registration of the Certification Trademark "Co To - Quang Ninh Fish Sauce" No. 521621 issued by the Department of Intellectual Property under Decision No. 157085/QD-SHTT dated December 30, 2024, is valid from the date of issuance until the end of 10 years from the date of application (December 4, 2023).
The right to use the certification mark "Co To - Quang Ninh Fish Sauce" for selected pilot organizations and individuals including Nguyen Dang Luong business household, zone 1, Co To town; Le Van Chin facility, Truong Xuan village, Dong Tien commune; Le Thi Giang facility, Truong Xuan village, Dong Tien commune; Pham Van Quang facility, Hai Tien village, Dong Tien commune. The certificate is issued under Decision No. 1568/QD-UBND dated December 30, 2024 of Co To District People's Committee and is valid for 5 years from the date of signing.
At the conference, delegates were also trained in the management and development of the "Co To Fish Sauce - Quang Ninh" certification trademark, including: Identification of certification trademark samples, information about certification trademarks, maps of product production and business areas, solutions to improve management efficiency, development of Co To fish sauce certification trademark, experience in brand development management, and effective use of the "Co To Fish Sauce" certification trademark.
The building of the brand "Co To fish sauce" is registered for protection, management and promotion of the certification trademark to protect the legitimate rights and interests of consumers and production and business, create means and tools for management and promotion, build a promotion plan, exploit and develop the certification trademark.
This is a great effort in maintaining the prestige and reputation of the product as well as contributing to the development of the Co To tourism service industry, showing the district's determination in not only preserving traditional crafts but also promoting the application of technology in production, domestic consumption and expanding export markets.
