The Prime Minister has just issued a decision to appoint Mr. Hoang Trung, Director of the Plant Protection Department (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development) to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development. This decision takes effect from June 2.

Mr. Hoang Trung holds the position of Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development from June 2.

Previously, the Prime Minister also decided to appoint Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tri, Director General of the General Department of Forestry (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development) as Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development. According to the assignment of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tri is in charge of forestry, forest protection and some areas of the agricultural sector.

Thus, currently, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has 5 deputy ministers including Mr. Phung Duc Tien, Mr. Tran Thanh Nam, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Hiep, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tri and Mr. Hoang Trung. The Minister is Mr. Le Minh Hoan.

Mr. Hoang Trung, born in 1969, hometown in Hoang Thang commune, Van Yen district, Yen Bai province. Joined the Party on February 3, 1999. Position before appointment: Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Plant Protection Department, Director of the Plant Protection Department. Professional qualification: PhD. Political theory qualification: Senior.
