Mr. Luong Quoc Doan re-elected Chairman of Vietnam Farmers' Union

The 8th National Congress of the Vietnam Farmers' Union introduced the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union for the 8th term, 2023 - 2028. Among them, Mr. Luong Quoc Doan was re-elected as President of the Vietnam Farmers' Union.

On the morning of December 27, in Hanoi, the 8th National Congress of the Vietnam Farmers' Union held its third working day. Attending the congress were Secretary of the Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Mass Mobilization Commission Bui Thi Minh Hoai.

Mr. Luong Quoc Doan was re-elected as Chairman of the Vietnam Farmers' Union, term VIII.

This morning, the congress listened to the summary report, explanations, and received the opinions of the delegates. In particular, the congress announced the results of the election of the Executive Committee of the Farmers' Association for the 8th term, 2023, with 111 members. According to the personnel structure, the Executive Committee of the 8th term will have 119 members. However, at the congress, only 111 members were elected, the remaining personnel will be elected at an appropriate time.

The Congress announced the list of 18 members of the Standing Committee, elected the Chairman and 4 Vice Chairmen of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union Central Committee, term VIII. Among them, Mr. Luong Quoc Doan, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Delegation, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union Central Committee, term VII, was re-elected as Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union Central Committee, term VIII.

President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien and Head of the Central Mass Mobilization Commission Bui Thi Minh Hoai presented flowers to congratulate the Executive Committee of the 8th Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union on its debut at the congress.

Mr. Luong Quoc Doan (53 years old) is from Vu An commune (Kien Xuong district, Thai Binh province), currently residing in Yen Hoa ward (Cau Giay district, Hanoi). Mr. Doan has a bachelor's degree in law; advanced theoretical level. Previously, in May 2021, Mr. Luong Quoc Doan was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Vietnam Farmers' Union, term VII. During his work, Mr. Luong Quoc Doan was awarded a certificate of merit by the Prime Minister; a certificate of merit by the Head of the Central Organizing Committee; Emulation Fighter of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union; commemorative medal "For the Vietnamese Farmer Class"; Third-class Labor Medal (2023). Along with Mr. Luong Quoc Doan, 4 Vice Presidents of the Vietnam Farmers' Union, term VII, were re-elected as Vice Presidents of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union, term VIII, including: Pham Tien Nam, Dinh Khac Dinh, Bui Thi Thom and Nguyen Xuan Dinh.
