Mr. Nguyen Hoai Anh was elected Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee.

On the afternoon of September 17, the People's Council of Thanh Hoa province, term XVIII, 2021 - 2026, held the 33rd session, a thematic session to review and decide on contents under its authority.

At the meeting, Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Doan Anh emphasized that the contents of the 33rd session of the Provincial People's Council are extremely important for the implementation of political tasks and the development of the province in the coming time. Therefore, the Provincial People's Council delegates need to uphold the spirit of responsibility, promote collective intelligence, discuss democratically and thoroughly, reach consensus and decide on the contents set out in the meeting's agenda.

Regarding the implementation of the extension of the 2024 public investment plan, the adjustment of the budget and the 2025 public investment plan, the Secretary of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee requested the Provincial People's Council to focus on discussing, carefully considering and making resolutions, ensuring strict legality, publicity, transparency and compliance with regulations. The Provincial People's Committee and sectors and localities must urgently coordinate, remove difficulties and obstacles, speed up the disbursement progress of the public investment plan, and in 2025, must completely disburse 100% of the extended capital and additional capital. In the process of implementing the adjustment and disbursement of capital, it is necessary to organize actual inspections of projects in the allocated list, ensuring feasibility, efficiency, and compliance with the planning and development orientation of Nghi Son Economic Zone, avoiding dispersion and waste; strengthen financial and budgetary discipline, closely monitor the payment and settlement stages to ensure publicity, transparency and compliance with legal regulations.

On behalf of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Doan Anh congratulated Mr. Nguyen Hoai Anh and Mr. Nguyen Hong Phong on being assigned by the Politburo and the Secretariat to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term; Mr. Nguyen Hoai Anh was introduced to the Provincial People's Council to elect as Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

With the consent of 100% of the Provincial People's Council delegates present at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Hoai Anh, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term. The Provincial People's Council also unanimously approved the Proposal on extending the public investment plan for 2024, adjusting the budget and public investment plan for 2025.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Hoai Anh said that he will improve the quality of the direction and administration of the Provincial People's Committee; strictly comply with the leadership and direction of the Central Government, the Government, and the Provincial Party Committee; in the coming time, he will focus on leading and directing the implementation of the Resolutions of the province and the Central Government, striving to soon turn Thanh Hoa into a modern, rich, civilized, and happy industrial province. Mr. Nguyen Hoai Anh hopes to continue to receive the attention, leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the supervision and coordination of the Provincial People's Council, the committees and delegates of the Provincial People's Council to successfully complete the assigned tasks.
