Mr. Nguyen Hong Linh was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Council of Ha Tinh province.

Delegates of the People's Council of Ha Tinh province also elected Mr. Nguyen Hong Linh to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Ms. Nguyen Thi Viet Ha to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council.

On the morning of October 29, the People's Council of Ha Tinh province, term XVIII, 2021-2026, held the 32nd session (special session) to discuss, give opinions and resolutions on many important and urgent contents of the province.

At the meeting, delegates also elected new leadership positions of the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee.

At the meeting, delegates of the People's Council of Ha Tinh province discussed and approved 6 resolutions on dismissal and election of additional leadership positions of the People's Council and People's Committee of the 18th term, 2021-2026.

Specifically, the People's Council of Ha Tinh province dismissed the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Linh and Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Duong Tat Thang, due to job transfer; dismissed the position of Member of the Provincial People's Committee for the Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Bui Quang Hoan, Chief of Office of the National Assembly Delegation - Provincial People's Council Nguyen Huy Hung, due to job transfer.

Delegates of the People's Council of Ha Tinh province also elected to supplement a number of leadership positions of the People's Council and People's Committee of the 18th term, 2021-2026.

The delegates elected Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hong Linh to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Thuong Duc Commune Nguyen Thi Viet Ha to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Ky Xuan Commune Ho Huy Thanh and Director of the Department of Education and Training Nguyen Thi Nguyet to hold the position of Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee; elected additional members of the Provincial People's Committee including Chief of the Provincial People's Committee Office Tran Viet Hai, Director of the Department of Science and Technology Le Thanh Dong, and Chief Inspector of the province Nguyen Thanh Dien.

At the meeting, Director of the Department of Finance Nguyen Trong Hieu presented reports on adjusting a number of socio-economic development targets for 2025; extending the time for allocating local budget capital for the project to improve infrastructure in communes affected by floods in Ha Tinh province and amending and supplementing a number of articles of Resolution No. 137/2024/NQ-Hoi Hoi Nhan Dan dated January 13, 2024 and Resolution No. 143/2025/NQ-Hoi Hoi Nhan Dan dated January 23, 2025 of the Provincial People's Council.

Provincial People's Council delegates also listened to Head of the Provincial People's Council's Culture and Social Committee Dao Thi Anh Nga present the inspection report of the Provincial People's Council's committees.

After listening to the submissions and verification reports of the Provincial People's Council committees, the Provincial People's Council delegates voted to approve 15 thematic resolutions on adjusting a number of socio-economic development targets for 2025; amending and supplementing resolutions on mechanisms and policies for agricultural and new rural development; collective economy; ethnic policies, social security and environmental protection; allocating and adjusting capital plans under national target programs; organizational structure, staffing and ensuring security and social order./.
