Mr. Nguyen Hong Linh was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Council of Ha Tinh province.

On the morning of October 29th, the 18th Provincial People's Council of Ha Tinh province, term 2021-2026, held its 32nd session (a specialized session) to discuss, give opinions, and make decisions on many important and urgent issues of the province.

At the session, delegates also elected new leaders for the Provincial People's Council and the Provincial People's Committee.

At the session, delegates of the Ha Tinh Provincial People's Council discussed and approved six resolutions on the dismissal and election of additional leaders of the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee, 18th term, 2021-2026.

Specifically, the People's Council of Ha Tinh province dismissed Nguyen Hong Linh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Permanent Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and Duong Tat Thang, Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee and Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, from their positions as Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee due to transfers; and dismissed Bui Quang Hoan, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, and Nguyen Huy Hung, Chief of the Office of the National Assembly Delegation - Provincial People's Council, from their positions as members of the Provincial People's Committee due to transfers.

Delegates of the Ha Tinh Provincial People's Council also elected additional leaders to the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee for the 18th term, 2021-2026.

The delegates elected Nguyen Hong Linh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee, as Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Thi Viet Ha, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Thuong Duc commune, as Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Ho Huy Thanh, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Ky Xuan commune, and Nguyen Thi Nguyet, Director of the Department of Education and Training, as Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee; and elected additional members of the Provincial People's Committee, including Tran Viet Hai, Chief of the Provincial People's Committee Office; Le Thanh Dong, Director of the Department of Science and Technology; and Nguyen Thanh Dien, Chief Inspector of the province.

At the meeting, Director of the Department of Finance Nguyen Trong Hieu presented proposals on adjusting some socio-economic development targets for 2025; extending the time for allocating local budget funds for the project to improve infrastructure in flood-affected communes in Ha Tinh province; and amending and supplementing some articles of Resolution No. 137/2024/NQ-People's Council dated January 13, 2024 and Resolution No. 143/2025/NQ-People's Council dated January 23, 2025 of the Provincial People's Council.

Provincial People's Council delegates also listened to Ms. Dao Thi Anh Nga, Head of the Culture and Social Affairs Committee of the Provincial People's Council, present the verification report of the committees of the Provincial People's Council.

After hearing presentations and verification reports from the committees of the Provincial People's Council, the delegates of the Provincial People's Council voted to approve 15 thematic resolutions on adjusting some socio-economic development targets for 2025; amending and supplementing resolutions on mechanisms and policies for agricultural and rural development; collective economy; ethnic policies, social security and environmental protection; allocation and adjustment of capital plans under national target programs; organizational structure, staffing and ensuring social security and order.
