Mr. Trinh Van Quyet holds the position of Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission.

Mr. Trinh Van Quyet, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, was appointed by the Politburo to hold the position of Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission.

On the morning of November 4, in Hanoi, the Party Central Committee Office held a ceremony to announce the Politburo 's decision on personnel work. Accordingly, the Politburo decided to allow General Trinh Van Quyet, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, to cease participating in the Central Military Commission and the Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission for the 2025-2030 term; at the same time, he was transferred, assigned, and appointed to hold the position of Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission.

Previously, Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, was appointed as Director of the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army, replacing Mr. Trinh Van Quyet.

Mr. Trinh Van Quyet, born in 1966, hometown Thanh Ha district, Hai Duong province (now Hai Phong); bachelor's degree. Mr. Quyet is a member of the 13th Party Central Committee, Secretary of the 13th Party Central Committee, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army since April 2021, and a general (since July 2025).

Mr. Trinh Van Quyet worked for many years in Military Region 2, holding the positions of Deputy Political Commissar, Political Commissar of the Military Region, Secretary of the Military Region Party Committee (since May 2016).

At the 13th National Congress of the Party (January 2021), he was elected as a member of the Party Central Committee for the 2021-2026 term. In April 2021, he was appointed Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army.

He was promoted to the rank of Major General in 2016, Lieutenant General in 2020 and Senior Lieutenant General in August 2023. On June 3, 2024, Mr. Trinh Van Quyet was appointed to the position of Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army. On July 14, Mr. Quyet was promoted to the rank of General by the President.
