In his opening remarks, Mr. Nguyen Van Mau, a member of the Group's Board of Directors, affirmed that the workshop aimed to improve the quality and effectiveness of inspection and supervision work throughout the Group, in the context of Petrovietnam and its member units striving to successfully complete the 2025 production and business plan.

Overview of the workshop.
This is not merely a professional requirement but also a crucial leadership method and a political necessity for the Group's Party Committee. The workshop focused on key issues: coordinating Party inspection and supervision with the enterprise's political tasks; implementing the conclusions and recommendations of inspection and audit teams at Petrovietnam; and the impact of new regulations on corporate accounting...
Mr. Mau emphasized that, in implementing Conclusion 76-KL/TW of the Politburo on the development orientation of the oil and gas industry until 2030, with a vision to 2045, Petrovietnam has developed a development strategy until 2030, with a vision to 2050, with an ambitious goal: to be among the Top 500 largest companies in the world (Fortune Global 500) by 2030.

Mr. Nguyen Van Mau - Member of the Board of Directors of the Group.
This is a period of acceleration and breakthrough, ushering in a new era of development, shifting from resource exploitation to the creation of knowledge-based energy and industrial value.
In response to that request, Mr. Nguyen Van Mau suggested that all levels and units of Petrovietnam thoroughly understand the development orientations, focus resources, and build feasible and synchronized solutions; while also enhancing the responsibility for coordination in inspection and supervision, especially in inspecting and supervising the implementation of the enterprise's political tasks according to the regulations of the Party and the laws of the State.
The workshop will help participating units gain a more comprehensive understanding of the role of inspection and supervision in corporate governance and management; unify approaches, share experiences, and resolve practical difficulties. This will enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of inspection, supervision, and risk management, contributing to the successful achievement of Petrovietnam's strategic goals in the coming period.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa, a member of the Party Committee and Permanent Deputy Head of the Party Committee's Inspection Committee of the Group, stated that at the National Conference summarizing the Party's inspection, supervision, and disciplinary work in 2025 and the 13th Party Congress term, General Secretary To Lam highly appreciated the important role and contributions of inspection and supervision in maintaining political stability, consolidating the people's trust, and enhancing the leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party organizations. He also emphasized the overarching principle: leadership must go hand in hand with inspection; without inspection, there is no leadership. Inspection and supervision must encompass all Party organizations and all Party members, leaving no "gaps" or "dark areas," especially in areas and localities prone to negative practices.
A prominent new point emphasized throughout is the strong shift from post-inspection and handling to proactive, regular monitoring, early and remote prevention, and enhanced risk forecasting and warning capabilities; resolutely and strictly handling violations related to ideological and political degradation, moral decay, lifestyle, "self-evolution," "self-transformation," corruption, waste, and group interests, while protecting officials who dare to think, dare to act, and dare to take responsibility for the common good.
Following that direction, the Party Committee of the corporation also directed the revision of the Regulations on Coordination in the work of inspection, supervision, handling of complaints and denunciations, and disciplinary enforcement of the Party, reflecting the spirit of "synchronization, collaboration, one team - one goal," with a scope covering the entire system and a clear and transparent operating mechanism.
The report presented at the conference showed that, during the period 2021-2025, the group's internal inspection, supervision, auditing, and oversight activities were actively implemented, contributing to strengthening control over the management and use of capital and assets, improving legal compliance, ensuring transparency, and supporting the resolution of long-standing obstacles in a number of large and complex projects, as well as domestic and foreign investment projects.
To further enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of inspection and supervision in the coming period, the corporation has set forth key solutions, including: perfecting mechanisms, improving compliance levels, strengthening the capacity of staff, innovating inspection methods based on risk orientation, promoting professional training, and simultaneously increasing the application of information technology and digital transformation in inspection, supervision, auditing, and risk management.

Mr. Duong Manh Son - Deputy General Director of Petrovietnam: Inspection and supervision should be considered an important management tool.
According to Mr. Duong Manh Son, Deputy General Director of the Group, during the 2021-2025 period, Petrovietnam's enhanced coordination with functional agencies in inspection and supervision has yielded positive and reliable results, clearly reflecting the efforts of the entire Petrovietnam system in many areas.
Current inspection and monitoring activities focus primarily on governance, internal control, production and business results, and finance and investment. However, practical experience also reveals some persistent issues that need to be clearly identified and addressed decisively in the coming period, especially during the development and implementation of the five-year plan and the 2026-2030 development strategy.
Mr. Son suggested that units focus on clearly identifying key areas and priorities in inspection and supervision work in the coming period, considering this an important management tool to raise awareness of risks, organizational responsibility, and to definitively address existing problems.
He emphasized that inspection and supervision work is only truly effective when risks are correctly identified, responsibilities are clearly defined, and tasks are clearly assigned. This contributes to improving the efficiency of using state capital and assets, creating a solid foundation for Petrovietnam to successfully achieve its strategic goals, aiming to be among the top 500 companies in the world in the near future.
In his concluding remarks, Mr. Nguyen Van Mau highly appreciated the professional quality, practicality, and focus of the presentations and discussions at the workshop. He emphasized the urgent need to continue improving the effectiveness of coordination among leadership and management channels within the corporation, including the Party organization, the Board of Directors, and the Executive Board, from planning and implementation to monitoring, urging, and evaluating the implementation of inspection and supervision conclusions; thereby minimizing overlap, ensuring consistency and completeness, and improving the quality of inspection and supervision work.
Based on the discussion results, Mr. Mau outlined four key tasks for the coming period, including: Strengthening coordination in governance, inspection, and supervision between systems;
Promote the application of information technology and digital transformation, aiming to build a synchronized software system for monitoring and managing inspection and supervision work;
Continue to improve mechanisms, policies, and regulations related to internal inspection, supervision, control, auditing, and risk management;
Improving the culture of compliance and the quality of inspection conclusions is linked to training and professional development for inspection and supervision staff.
