Striving to sign investment contracts for 12 highway rest stops in March

Authorities are speeding up progress, striving to complete negotiations and sign contracts for 12 rest stops on the Eastern North-South Expressway in March 2025.


Reporting on the investment progress of 21 rest stops on the Eastern North-South Expressway at the February work conference and the implementation of key tasks for March 2025 of the Ministry of Construction this afternoon (March 7), Mr. Le Quyet Tien, Director of the Department of Economics - Construction Investment Management, said that up to now, 8 stations have completed the selection of investors and are implementing investment.

8 stations of the component projects: Mai Son - QL45; Nghi Son - Dien Chau, Dien Chau - Bai Vot; Nha Trang - Cam Lam; Cam Lam - Vinh Hao; Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet (station Km144+560 and station Km205+092); Phan Thiet - Dau Giay.

According to assessment, the construction progress is still slow. To serve the needs of the people, 6 stations have been put into temporary operation.

For the remaining 13 stations (QL45 - Nghi Son; Ham Nghi - Vung Ang; Vung Ang - Bung, Bung - Van Ninh; Van Ninh - Cam Lo, Cam Lo - La Son; Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon (station Km77+820 and station Km15+620); Hoai Nhon - Quy Nhon, Quy Nhon - Chi Thanh; Van Phong - Nha Trang; Can Tho - Hau Giang , Hau Giang - Ca Mau), the Vietnam Road Administration has approved the results of selecting investors for 7/12 stations and is evaluating the documents of 5/12 stations.

The work of organizing contract negotiations and signing is expected to be completed in March 2025.

The rest stop of the Can Tho - Hau Giang component project had to cancel the bidding notice due to no investors participating.

To speed up the implementation of the rest stop system, the leaders of the Department of Economics - Construction Investment Management requested the Project Management Boards: 6, Thang Long to urgently work with Nghe An, Dong Nai, Binh Thuan provinces, to complete the handover of the remaining land of 2 stations of the Nghi Son - Dien Chau and Phan Thiet - Dau Giay projects in March 2025.

Project management boards: HCM, 85, 7 roads work with the provinces: Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan, complete the handover of the site of 3 stations under the Nha Trang - Cam Lam, Cam Lam - Vinh Hao, Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet projects in April 2025.

My Thuan Project Management Board urgently completes procedures to re-bid for the station on the Can Tho - Hau Giang section, striving to sign the contract in May 2025.

Providing additional information at the conference, Mr. Bui Quang Thai, Director of the Vietnam Road Administration, also confirmed that the signing of contracts with investors for the remaining 12/13 rest stops on the North-South expressway in the East (except for the rest stop on the Can Tho-Hau Giang expressway) will be completed this March.
