Over the years, the province has always paid attention to planting, caring for trees, afforestation, protecting forests and protecting the environment, associated with the goal of sustainable development and has achieved many important results in building a green, clean and beautiful Ninh Thuan. The forest coverage rate has now reached 47.25%; the area of trees, flower gardens and ornamental plants from urban to residential areas is increasing.

However, in the face of the complex and unpredictable developments of climate change, frequent deforestation, industrial waste, greenhouse effect, etc. as at present, tree planting, forest protection, economic development coupled with environmental protection are extremely necessary and urgent.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, speaking at the ceremony, comrade Trinh Minh Hoang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, called on all classes of people, soldiers, youth, children, and the business community to respond to the "Tet tree planting festival to forever remember Uncle Ho" with practical and meaningful actions to express gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh, compete to implement the Project "Planting 1 billion trees in the period of 2021 - 2025" and the Project "Joining hands to build a green - clean - beautiful Ninh Thuan"; strive to achieve a forest coverage rate of 49% by 2025 according to the Resolution of the 14th Provincial Party Congress.

Party committees at all levels, authorities, departments, branches, sectors, the Fatherland Front and political and social organizations should step up propaganda to raise awareness among all classes of people about the purpose and meaning of the Tree Planting Festival; the role, great effects, comprehensive and long-term benefits, and humanistic values of tree planting, afforestation, forest protection, and ecological environment protection; organize and launch the "Tree Planting Festival to forever remember Uncle Ho" to ensure practicality, efficiency, economy, and suitability to local conditions, agencies, and units.

At the ceremony, provincial leaders and delegates participated in tree planting; youth union members, soldiers, and public service units and enterprises took care of trees and cleaned the environment in the area around the Central Lake.
