Many artifacts from the Paleolithic period were discovered in Bao Ha.

On May 14, a scientific research team from the Vietnam Institute of Archaeology coordinated with a group of graduate students from Wuhan University (China) to conduct an archaeological survey in Bao Ha commune, Bao Yen district.

During the survey, the scientific research team discovered many artifacts of Stone Age tools in villages along the Red River in Bao Ha commune, concentrated in the villages of Bun 1, Bun 2, Bun 3, Bun 4, Bao Vinh, Lien Ha 6, Lien Ha 7 and Lien Hai. The artifacts are mainly tools made of cobblestones, showing traces of ancient human habitation and activities in this area.

Initial findings show that Bao Ha still contains many ancient vestiges, especially those from the prehistoric period in the Northern Midlands and Mountains. In the coming time, experts will develop a project to continue to cooperate in further research on archaeology in this locality.
