Promoting the advantages of cooperative alliance members

In the first quarter of 2025, the Provincial Cooperative Union had a working session with the Board of Directors of Xuan Quang 2 Agricultural Production and Service Cooperative (Dong Xuan district) to guide this cooperative to join the Provincial Cooperative Union. Looking back at 2024, the Provincial Cooperative Union has admitted 4 cooperatives as members, including Song Hinh Agricultural and Forestry Cooperative (Song Hinh district), Xuan Phuoc Agricultural and Forestry Production and Service Cooperative (Dong Xuan district), Song Cau Lobster General Service Cooperative (Song Cau town), Xuan Quang 1 Agricultural Production and Service Cooperative (Dong Xuan district). Currently, the Provincial Cooperative Union has 147 members; of which, 130 members are cooperatives, 17 members are enterprises and business households.

According to the Provincial Cooperative Union, every year the unit organizes working groups to support the operations of member cooperatives; provides advice to many cooperatives facing difficulties in land, tax, and service business; coordinates with local authorities to consolidate and improve personnel, especially leadership personnel for cooperatives. In particular, in 2024, the unit will introduce 5 cooperatives to access loans from the Vietnam Cooperative Development Support Fund; coordinates with transaction offices of the Social Policy Bank branches in localities to appraise and disburse loans of 360 million VND to 4 members of 2 cooperatives...

Hoa Phong Cooperative (Tay Hoa District) has been facing difficulties in personnel for a long time, especially in terms of personnel for the Board of Directors. The Provincial Cooperative Union has coordinated with local authorities to consolidate the apparatus, through members' opinions to elect a new director and chairman of the Board of Directors of the Cooperative. Mr. Pham Van Dong, Director of this Cooperative, said: After being consolidated, by 2023, the Cooperative's operations began to stabilize again and generate after-tax profits. Currently, the Cooperative is focusing on expanding business services, improving production activities on mulberry and rice plants.

Not only cooperatives are members of the Provincial Cooperative Union. Cooperatives, enterprises, and business households can become members of the union when they meet the conditions set forth annually by the Provincial Cooperative Union Executive Committee. Becoming a member of the Provincial Cooperative Union not only helps these units have more opportunities to connect, cooperate and support development, but also means being recognized as a member of the Vietnam Cooperative Union - the national representative organization of the collective economic sector.
