With the goal of effectively implementing the work of protecting, caring for and educating children, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (DOLISA) coordinates with sectors, the Fatherland Front Committee and socio-political organizations at all levels, and the People's Committees of communes and towns to build and perfect the network of social workers. Up to now, 13/13 communes and towns in the district have social workers. For nearly 4 years working as a social worker in Thanh Binh town, Ms. Nguyen Thi Loan has helped many children in particularly difficult circumstances in the locality access support policies, contributing to stabilizing their lives. To perform well the duties of a social worker, Ms. Loan regularly approaches and collects information about children's needs; coordinates with neighborhood health workers to survey and verify children's actual conditions; promptly reports to the Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs officers to propose solutions and support to the town People's Committee leaders. In Tan My commune, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhu Ngoc (born in 1994, residing in Hamlet 3, Tan My commune, Thanh Binh district) is always active and enthusiastic with the tasks of a social worker. According to Ms. Nhu Ngoc, Tan My is a rural area, people's lives are still difficult. In particular, the whole commune still has many children in special circumstances and at risk of falling into special circumstances. Aware of her own responsibility, Ms. Nhu Ngoc regularly monitors, collects information, and needs for assistance of vulnerable children to report to the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and the Commune People's Committee for timely support.

Thanks to the connection of the social worker, the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Trinh (born in 1996, residing in Hamlet 3, Tan My Commune, Thanh Binh District) received assistance to reduce difficulties and gradually stabilize their lives. Ms. Trinh's husband had just passed away due to a serious illness, and she alone raised 5 young children by collecting scrap. Understanding Ms. Trinh's situation, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhu Ngoc coordinated with the Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs officer to advise the People's Committee of Tan My Commune to complete the documents so that Ms. Trinh's children could enjoy monthly social assistance policies according to Decree 20/2021/ND-CP of the Government.
