According to the Department of Health 's report, after the merger, the Department of Health's Board of Directors includes 1 director, 8 deputy directors, 7 specialized departments and 39 affiliated units. The total number of human resources in the health sector is currently more than 15,000 people, including more than 4,400 doctors.
In the first 6 months of this year, the Department of Health basically completed the targets and tasks assigned by the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and Provincial People's Committee. Emergency care, medical examination and treatment, disease prevention, food safety, digital transformation, social policies, investment in infrastructure, equipment for medical facilities, medical examination and treatment activities of medical stations, etc. were actively implemented by the sector and achieved many good results. In addition, the sector also encountered some difficulties.
Regarding some proposals of the Department of Health related to seals, finance, funding, infrastructure, environmental licenses, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son assigned relevant departments and branches such as the Department of Home Affairs, Department of Finance, Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, and regional project management boards to coordinate with the Department of Health to resolve.
Regarding digital transformation, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son emphasized that this is one of the key tasks not only of the health sector but also of all sectors and localities. Any content that has been allocated capital for the health sector must be focused on implementing on schedule. Particularly, 6 regional health centers that do not have funds to deploy electronic medical records should propose clear solutions to resolve, synchronize, and strictly implement according to the direction of the Prime Minister.
With the proposal of the Department of Health on the working headquarters, the Department of Finance is currently advising the Provincial People's Committee to transfer the headquarters of the old Tax Department (Cach Mang Thang Tam Street, Tran Bien Ward) to the Department of Health for use.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son emphasized that Dong Nai currently has the 4th largest economic scale in the country, a large area, and a large population. Healthcare is one of the pillars of the social security system. Therefore, the healthcare sector must make more efforts, develop commensurate with the overall development of the province, set goals and targets, and create highlights in a number of areas and models.
With a large population (more than 4.4 million people) and high mechanical population growth, the health sector must be proactive and one step ahead to ensure the protection, care, and improvement of health and life for people in the area; and fulfill assigned targets. Strengthen inspection and review of food safety and disease prevention; do not be subjective or negligent.
Provincial leaders will continue to work with leaders of the Department of Health on a number of issues related to medical work in the area to ensure smooth medical activities, and at the same time request relevant departments and sectors to continue to pay attention, support, and create conditions for the health sector to develop further in the coming time.
